@cctvtom - thank you so much. I really appreciate the help

Hi @cctvtom I replaced a camera and now I’m having a problem with a other camera. Do you think I need a software update? I’m attaching a screenshot of what’s coming in some of the cameras. This particular Camera is showing this and then no video. I have been hacked in the past. Is this someone hacking in or dvr going bad or an update needed? Any ideas?

thank you so much! Yes I am in the USA, Florida to be exact! I really appreciate the help. I am lost at what to do and I rely on these cameras for personal safety. @cctvtom

So what do I do?? @cctvtom here’s another message I keep getting and then it will go to video loss and then it will start working. Do I need a new dvr or is there a fix?

LOL @cctvtom - I apologize for the disorder, this is my ebay inventory room! LOLLLLL Oh no! not china! The app I am using is NVMS7000 - how can you tell its connected to a china server? ok, what do you mean, get a new DVR?? Can you give me any recommendations to replace what I have? which is an LTS with options for 9 cameras, I have 8. How hard will it be to change this out and get it to work remotely as I rely heavily on being able to have the remote access. I had my camera guy set all this up for me including the networking and he is gone now and I have no one else. HELP me pleaseeeee

Hey @tomcctv - I am working from home today and kept hearing my camera make noises so I pulled up the camera app and see where the menu is up on this particular camera but no one is near the DVR - any idea why this would be happening? what do you mean by the main screen? This screenshot below is from the app on my phone. I'm continuing to have weird stuff like this happen. I have been hacked in the past and have since changed login info. Do you think this could be another hacking attempt?

Hi Guys, I need help again. One of my cameras has been acting squirly and now just says video loss. I have checked the plugs in the back of the DVR, checked the connections at the power box and checked the connections at the camera and everything is tight. Any suggestions on what I can try next? I don't know if the camera is bad or the wiring has a problem. Please help me :)

Thanks @tomcctv - this seems to be an intermittent problem. Can you post a product link to what I need to purchase? I am seeing male and female and I dont know what I need. https://www.amazon.com/BeElion-Twist-Coaxial-Connector-Security/dp/B01M0HGOTV/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3DMCTXUBTIFU4&keywords=bnc+coaxial+connectors&qid=1643904906&sprefix=bnc+coax%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-3 https://www.amazon.com/Male-Plug-Female-Adapter-Connector/dp/B077PFF21D/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3DMCTXUBTIFU4&keywords=bnc+coaxial+connectors&qid=1643905045&sprefix=bnc+coax%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-5 https://www.amazon.com/Superbat-Adapter-Female-Coaxial-Connector/dp/B07JMLWJBW/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3DMCTXUBTIFU4&keywords=bnc+coaxial+connectors&qid=1643905045&sprefix=bnc+coax%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-11 Also, with my current power supply, do you see any problems upgrading some of my 2.1 MP LTS cameras to 5MP LTS ones? something like this: https://www.ebay.com/p/5016974856?iid=363713097014

One of my other cameras is acting up too now, flickering screen, dark picture. I wonder if I have a problem with the power supply?
-
The model # on the back is CMHT1422W-28 - would it be best to get the same thing to replace? or can I upgrade and be able to just plug it in without rewiring? what are some options you can recommend?
-
@tomcctv - I found some fuses and swapped out the fuse. I then moved a working camera and hooked it up to the existing wiring and it worked. So I guess the camera went back. Is that common for this type of camera???
-
ok, thanks for that product recommendation. So you think if there is a problem it's in that part of the connection where the wire nuts are? Before I order that, I think I first need to see if the camera is working. What should I do first? 1. turn off power supply 2. move red and black cable down to bottom slot on power supply 3. turn on power supply and see if camera is working? if not, it must be the wiring? My only concern is that this might cause me to blow the bottom fuse as well but I don't know what else to do.
-
Also, @tomcctv - if I need to replace the wiring from the camera to the power supply to dvr, can you send me a link to what I need? I am clueless.
-
Tom, what would be the best order to do this so I don't end up blowing another fuse?
-
I can move the fuse, but like I said it was not blown until I messed with the wires. I took the yellow screw caps Off and checked the connection and put them back on and that must have blown the fuse. I'm afraid if I move it I might blow the fuse again and still have a problem. It was not working before and the fuse had not blown yet.
-
Hey thanks for the reply. It was not blown until I messed with the wires so I must have done that. Now I need to see if I have any replacement fuses. Would I need to replace the entire cable from the camera to the power supply? I have no idea how to do that. How can I make sure the camera is working?

@tomcctv - you helped me last year with updating my power supply - any advice? thanks!

Cant find replacement fuse for power supply
crunkin4justinrt posted a topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Greetings, I am really hoping someone here can help me. Recently I had a fuse blow in my IC Realtime power supply. The Part # DCR 4-4-1UL is on the power supply. The writing on the fuse says "F3.5AL 250V". The fuse measures 1 1/8 inch long x approx 3/16 inch wide, which is about 28.57mm x 4.76mm. The problem is all I can find online is either 5x20mm or 6x30mm. The first is way to small, the second is a hair big. This is what I have tried so far that does NOT work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074HH3VZ7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008R7XE4W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Can someone PLEASE help me. I have contacted IC Realtime and so far they have been useless. They actually recommended the 5x20mm fuse above which is clearly way too small. I am attaching pictures of my power supply and the fuses I have tried. I did temporarily wrap the blown fuse in foil which makes all my cameras work, I am aware this is a fire hazard but without it, 4 of my 8 cameras show no video. I am desperate! PLEASE HELP thanks in advance -Angela -

Dvr has its own power supply that’s plugged into a power strip. It’s not going to the power supply from what I can tell.
