I have that exact DVR myself, kKmoon TP-DVR128 (S386B-US) When using a Windows PC you do not have to use the ActiveX plugin, with Windows 10 or even eight or seven it's actually a bit of a pain in the ass to get the ActiveX plug in to run anyway, as Chrome and edge won't support it but Internet explorer will. regardless I don't like using it either and on several Windows PCS I can connect to the DVR with I spy and CMS beta, just to mention a couple, I'm always tinkering with it like that.
