  1. Dear god please have an answer.... Ok, so the 16-channel MPEG-4 DVR is installed in a convenience store and hooked up through Qwest. A computer on the qwest network can access it, download the Video Server E software, change from 4 to 16 camera view, etc. This works on port 80 as well as port 81. Trying the same thing from a house w/ Cox Cable internet access doesn't work. While you can log in and see the cameras, as soon as I try to change anything, ie, go to 16 camera view, change the port, etc, I get this error: "Send Command to Device is Failed !!" Any ideas? I went into the config files and noticed that the secondary port number is 8888, but when I called Cox, they said it isn't blocked. I tried this from 2 locations, using 3 different computers. 2 were running Vista (I know, I know) and my notebook as XP Pro. On the Cox network, if I go directly to the IP address, the splash screen comes up, but if I try to "Download AP", it fails. The site it's going to is: ftp://211.22.74.18/AV732E/setup.exe and I'm simply told that IE can't display the web page. Any thoughts here people? This is frustrating the hell out of me. My inclination is to say that some port is blocked on Cox that isn't on Qwest, but the guy who owns the equipment said that at his old house, with Cox, it worked fine. So I'm officially stumped. HELP! Oh, I should note the DVR is in the DMZ so no ports are blocked locally, although considering it works inside the qwest network, there shouldn't be a problem. Also, I can log in directly through the IP via Java. Still can't change any of the cameras, focus on one in particular, or change the number of cameras shown. No error, just nothing happens.
  2. Ok, when I'm at a different location, I can kind of control it. I can change views then it locks.... Good times.
  3. Ok, thanks, but the major problem I'm having is that I can VIEW the server using the Video Server E software but I can't CONTROL the server when I'm on the Cox network. I can also download it now (no idea why it's working now), but I still can't control it unless I'm on the Qwest network. Thoughts?
