dear friends.....i have a stand alone dvr and adsl internet with a static ip address...connected to a TP link router....but i still can't watch my cameras from another place via internet..... my qstn is: what are the settings i have to do with the tp link router so that i can watch my DVR from another PC??

hi all, i want to do the following plz, and i need ur help, it's a school, and i want to put a camera in each class,now , parents can not watch all of the classes , they can onley watch there son's class onley, what ideas do u all have? and thnx

gentelmen... what i have practicly noticed is : when i use the regular RJ-6 co axial cable i get a better picture than using the cat5 or the cat6, but the thickness of the cable is what making a big problem because you can't put a total of 12 caaxial cable in one pipe or trunk.

WELL, i am using a cat5, and i am having a bad shadows on the picture, the 12vdc transformar is near each camera, but the cat5 distance is around 90meters, will the balun solve that problem? and where in China or Dubai can i get the balun?

dear friends:- how can u connect a camera for 1500 meter distance? it's jmk, sony chipset, outdoor,day & night, 12 vollt, and on the other side there is a DVR pc card?!!

ok, that means that i must put the power near each camera, and that is easy to be done in my new project, but don't u think that using cat 6 is better than using cat5???!!!! or will plz tell me what is the differante between the cat -5 and cat -6?plz note that i have the two knids.

that's good Scorpion, but how can i chose the ideal way of getting this project done ,when i know nothing about networking, that's why i am searching for : how can i do it with the analoge camera's ?

kensplace, you are just assuming , but the psu is prottected with both of fuse and a regulater,and how can any body just switch it off while it's placed in a special control room or in the manager room?!!

u've been a great help, but i still have one more thing to ask about! and that is: how can i connect an analoge canera for 1500 meter distance? is that possible with cat6 and a baloun?!!!!!

dear scorpion, i have already excuted 53 project, but i used to use the analog cam's, this time i have a new job, it's a very huge factory which need to be coverd with a 64 cam's, it's very well coverd with a networking cables, that's why i think that the ip cameras is the best solution or this case, on the other hand, some of the cameras are 1500 meter far from the control room, that's why i wanted to knw more about the ip cameras and how can i connect them. and thnx again

dera sir, it's not a matter of that i like free things, but i don't have such books in my country, i am a cctv sys anstaller but i know nothing about the ip cameras and the networking issue, so, thank u any way. osama saadah

well, i can see nothing wrong of using a computer power suppply unit, it's well protected and regulated, me myself i use it for powering the cameras i install.
