    March Networks DVR

Our company purchases through Hamilton Safe in Ohio. We have sold these DVRs to several financial institutions in our area. They are built great rack mountable and the ones we have out there are all networked. The customer has had problems with other DVRs and they love this one. (We installed one of the 4000 series) The only oddity I have found is there is a provisioning interface to setup the IP which is kind of odd. It is a serial interface and you use Hyperterminal in windows to set it up. Its easy enough to use, I just found it odd with the level of technology that it is. The user and setup software is great, very detailed. The unit itself is tough as nails.

    CCTV operator Training Manual

On the subject of Training. What does everyone think of the NTC training manuals? They have one on Low Voltage installation, CCTV, Access Control and others. I am asking because not everyone in my shop has the same level of expertise. I am looking at developing a training regimen to get them into the same groove. Its hard trying to teach every new guy OHMS Law when what they really need is an understanding of the Low voltage stuff we deal with.
  3. I am a security professional and have been an electronics tech in one business or another for 20 yrs. I have a team working for me that is good at general install and some have my level of knowledge but not all. I am looking to get some more training materials for the newer guys and was wondering if anyone has experience with the NTC books. I was going to start with the low voltage systems book. Any comments would be helpful Thank you Our company does alarm, CCTV and access control
