Scorpion, Thanks for the reply. It is a new unit. It's not bearing noise. Have you heard one of these units run? You would think that it would be possible to use a quieter fan. Most new computers nowadays are a lot quieter. Why can't a DVR be quiet also? -- greg

I'm looking for suggestions on how to best quiet down a Speco 8TN DVR. Has anyone tackled this problem? The DVR sits in my clients office and it's too loud. -- greg
