Can somebody PLEASE recommend me a damm router? The friking belkin I got is dropping connections twice a day, and is a pain to access the menu A linksys seems to never do the job the Dlink's are cheap. I don't care about the cost, just something that would give me no more damm headaces.

I'm leaning towards a sonicwall Router,

I have used the ALTRONIX in a couple of installations, and they are Great, works perfectly, but I just only think that they are a little overpriced. Currently I'm using a P3 power supply, and they are much cheaper, and they work PERFECT. www.pthree.com check them out

The very best DVR card
qman replied to Integratek's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I-view, no question, I can send you more info send me an e-mail at: hermin@shscomputers.com -
I say again like I said before, this forum is FILLED with GEO problems, but not any from I-view. I hate to be ****y and pushy, I just hate that geo has cornered the market with it's crappy product, and if you dare say otherwise, run a search, out of the 11,000 post in this forum, 8,000 are from geo's problems. Plus how many more from other users out there who have not yet found this forum to share their frustrations.

The i-views are the better DVR'S for that, and the most cost effective. I can send you a remote demo so that you see it, including doing remote viewing of multiple locations withinn I.E., via an activeX script, plus via their freeview software.
-
Well, I can show you 25 screen shot, will do up to 32. look here: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1480

Here is a Screenshot of the remote viewing software I''ll post more pics of the actual server side once I have this unit setup

Bump!

The camera must be defective. I only seen this on cameras with cheap or bad capacitors.
-
link don't work
-
It seems that the problem lies in the server software, not on the connection If I where you, I would just reinstall the software again, GEO is not that stable of a software, contrary to what other's believe.

AGH!! I change at least 4 of those units out on a monthly basis. Those are not cameras, those are toys. They say the quality looks good, but they have a HIGH failure rate.
-
Well, it comes down to the phone, I tested it on a sharp t1100, big color lcd, 640X480 resolution....and it looks good as it can get in that small screen.

Yes they do

Guys, quick quest. I got a dilema on my hand got to do a 9 cam job in a autobody/garage/towing company, with 3 BIG lots. it's around 25,000 square feet. 8 cameras are going to be in one building, and 1 in another. now, best wiring option, CAT 5 with balums, or siamese COax? All cameras, except 2 are going to be 24V (as per rory's suggestion) Thanks!

CAn I ask where the hell are you putting that friking camera>? Up binlanden's ass?

Need Professional Subcontracted Installations
qman replied to PBryant's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
The only good CCTV contractors over here are from NYC, and they will charge an arm and a leg to travel uphere, which is why I relocated from Westchester County to here, I'm actually 30 min from almost everything, right smack in the middle of the state.
