Best Mainboard for Kodicom
qman replied to pingsquare's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
the 640 X 480 resolution is causing this, this is very common on DVR boards that use the BT chips that have no power regulators. -
Well, I just spoke to I-view engenieers, and for your system craig, we'll be giving you the updated software, which, with a dual monitor output, you'll be able to have the emap on the second monitor, and the camera icons will blink if there is movement detected, you have to enable this feature in the setup, basically as a notification on the camera setup.

Thoma's company can probably offer you the best solution for what you neeed.

Need Some Help Selecting DVR card
qman replied to Ghazi's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
The difference between a PC and a stand alone is that with a PC system, you have more features than the stand alones, but a little more maintinance, while with the Stand ALones, is basically set it and forget it. -
Need Some Help Selecting DVR card
qman replied to Ghazi's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
he said 3000.00 The GEO! is going to cost him 1000 right off the bat! I sent you a PM Ghanzi. The if it's for a grocery store, I have done supermarkets with 8 cameras, with the I-view cards, for your pricerange **installed**. The problem is that a lot of installers don't understand that not everyone has the budget nor the need for high end systems. Example, why get a box camera to keep an eye at a storage room, when a dome camera would do the job exactly, and cost 1/2 the money of a box camera, and the lens. Plus since you are doing it yourself, you need someone who would give you the best support possible. -
send me an e-mail with whatever the problem is and I'll help you out. I'm the Authorized dealer for I-view. hermin@shscomputers.com

ha, I got called to a murder trial once.......... Good client too, a lady that owned several grocery stores got shot while closing one of her places, and the perp tried to say that he was somewhere else at the time, and that the video that shows him doing the deed was altered. The police where knocking on my door at 3am, because they could'nt figure out how to play back the video. That was not fun.

uhm, If I am to guess, around 10 years old, but the thing look profesional as hell, even as old it is, I got it for nothing.
-
Now, not to be the ergotistical as*hole, but why would you want something like that? apart for it as being a 5 pound movie player, why?

Here is a screenshot using 16 live feeds to the unit. Only thing was that I only had 3 cameras available (sue me, I'm home and it's 6am) so I used the loops nicely, plus I added a "network" feed from one of the I-view demo sites. This way, I got 25 screens at once. (by looking at the TV feeds, you can see that the unit is showing the images syncronized. More to Come. Hermin

The new model finally came out from I view. Full hardware recording and viewing. Goy my demo unit 2 weeks ago, and to be honest, I'm impressed with the way that the hardware works with the recording. I'm going to be posting screenshots soon for the server pics.

I am looking for it, but it seems only available in the UK I telling you, I am so frustrated that I am prepared to spend up to 500 bucks on a REAL no dropping signal router.

uhm..... could you post a pic, or more info? never heard of this card before -
Well, considering that 95% of quality CCTV stuff comes from Korea, yeah, I'll buy that they know their stuff.
-
It looks more like a RTOS of their own. I like the way the manual is, very professional.
-
Uhm, looking at page 64 of the manual, seems that in the camera setup, next to where it says Channel 1, there is a icon, have you tried clicking on that particular icon on the right? that might just do the trick, I'll keep looking thru it to see if there is another solution.
-
No problem
-
Well, to be 100% honest. The loop is going to work wheather the port is good or bad, because the connection is actually hardwired. Hopefully there is something wrong with the Connector 1, look in the camera setup on the main menu, there should be a option to turn on the camera either on or off. hope this helps

Who did you buy that kodicomm from?
