I have some screenshots on the witness dvr, I'll post them later tonight
-
Does anyone knows anything about this company?
-
They are not the manufacturer, They got horrible support Yes, it does support realtime support But, from experience, they are garbage units, I used 2 of them, and I had to get rid of them, because they ketp freezing. Just my two cents.

You should take a look at the Witness DVR Cards by I-View. http://www.i-view.com.tw

is this a good deal,l think so!!!l looking to buy.

Well, yes, it is exactly as it says on their website, and regarding what rory is saying, this particular DVR, which I have used plenty of times, will give you realtime display on all 16 channels at one time, while the recording is a full 60fps, which it distributes depending how many cameras have actual motion at that particular moment. As for the price, it is the same price that we have it for, with the exception of that we sell directly from the manufacturer, while they go thru a 3rd party distributor. Imagine the hastle if you ever need to get warranty server on the unit. -
Tip for power splice for bullets & domes
qman replied to rory's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Well, for me it's called splice and soder, and a nice piece of black tape, and it's all done -
Has anyone used this model yet? I tried it today, it was on a small store that a family member took over, it's not bad, but has no real features on it.
-
Uhm, rory? Better than the cheapones? man, the recording quality is not so great, and it's a pain in the ass to even find out how to view the recordings, it took me a little while to figure it out, plus come on, even the "cheap taiwanesse" DVR's, how you like to call them have a remote control, which is nice if you have the unit tucked in somewhere.

Not too good. While testing, after about 3 weeks , it started freezing, and they got really bad tech support, so I instead went with the ameba version, made by YOKOTEC, who makes DVR'S for many big name US manufacturers, like for example PROVIDEO, plus it is an 120FPS, twice as many frames as the YOKOTEC one. CAn you tell me what is the RETAIL price for this item?
-
I think that it only uses 3 pairs, but I'm not too sure.
-
Using a geo 250 for this???? It's never going to work
-
Thanks for visiting my store!!!!! Just kidding, that unit in specific is manufactured by YOKO-TECH www.yoko-tech.com They manufacture these OEM for many american manufacturers, and I have used them in installations plenty of times, whith only one problem, the power supply went bad, which is not bad considering the only problem for more than 100 units that I have sold. If you want more detailed information, send me an e-mail hermin@shscomputers.com

One quick thing that I forgot to add was that the I-view uses Emdedded WINXP PRO SP2, so there is no software issues whatsoever, so basically you can consider it as a stand alone realability with PC features
-
Well, because I really don't like to post prices just like that, I dont' want people to think that I am taking advantage over anything, but if someone is interested in any of the products that I sell, I send them to my website, or they can E-mail me and I can give all of the informationt that they need. Plus whoever from this forum that order's from me, get's something extra, wheather a small discount, or free shipping.
-
You got PM and the benefit of PC over Stand alone, is that you get a hell of alot more features, plus it's simple to install and maintain, but the best thing about them is that you are not tied up with the storage capacity, just add as much as you need!!!
-
hehehehe na, I have been on the phone with Iview, direct from Taiwan regarding the casino's installations, If either one of them go thru, man, they are going to put this company (and me!!!) on the map
-
Man I got Paint Shop pro 9 and photoshop 7
-
THANKS!!! Just what I was looking for, a way to save a few bucks!!

The I-view is currently being tested by Mohegan sun and Foxwoods here in CT, I am representing I-view in the proccess, and the best thing that they have so far is the Virtual eMap feature, where they input a floor map, and then they have either cameras, sensors, or alarm icons, but in the camera icons, there is a small LIVE picture of what the camera is seeing, plus all of the other features one would want, expecially implementing the NAS storage units, which is really a good feature, since all they got to do in order to have more storage capacity is to just add NAS storage devices, I can only tell you that Mohegan, for testing purposes, has added 4 terrabytes of storage, for their 1400 30fps cameras that they have on site.
