I hear you, but they actually want triple that. Their thing is that this is a 320GB hard drive, and they will only replace BOTH hard drives, (only 1 is dead), plus they also want to charge me to reload software. Thanks for the suggestion anyway

question about dvr card..im new to this
qman replied to artybouch's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
You are looking at an 8ch card, and expect to pay between 400-600 for a quality card. -
Come on guys, any other idea? I'm trying to win a big bid with this guy, and If I cna fix this, I would most likely get it, plus, then, I'll swap out this DM crap for something like sanyo, or GE.

I'm stuck with this camera. This picture is at night, and since it was installed, it looks like this. I have tried focusing and no avail. Any ideas? Thanks for any help by the way, it's a rainbow cctv http://www.rainbowcctv.com/cameras/hdcvf3d.html thanks!

guys, all this has to be PAL equipment.

There are systems that are becoming available from korea, but at the cost that you are looking for, plus the amount of support that you might need, you are taking a chance. The tricky part of the POS integration, not a lot of manufacturers on the price level that you have has POS support.

cool man!!!!!!!! I'm very very glad that you are ok.

Holy Sh*t, Thomas, you are alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damm man, was it rough?

The image is almost all white during the day. I think that I'm just going to swap the camera out.

Then how come all other 7 of this same model, installed at the same location have no problems? is it just a bad cam, or is it a wrong setting?
-

Guys, the no phone number rule was kinda put in place back in 2003, when the forum was first published, it just wasn't really "written" in. The thing is that this forum has EXPLODED withinn the last 6-8 months now, and little things like this are now coming into play. So, to end the subject, please, no phone numbers on the public forum. on the dealer section, that's a different story. hermin

newbie question!!! just bought a dvr, what next?
qman replied to duntovlives's topic in Digital Video Recorders
To be on the honest side, no matter what type of camera you are looking at, for exterior duty and for the features that you need, you are looking anywhere between 150-600 per camera, that's depending on what you choose, the best thing is to research research research, and ask a lot of questions before you decide on what to buy. As for interior, you need to decide what you want, I mean, Regular Box Cameras? Hidden? Bullets? Domes? That would answer a lot of questions and that way, we can guide you to the best solution for your buck! -
The Spectras? uh!! I wonder if the GE's also work, I know that rory has had some experience, but has anyone else tried yet>?

Please read the rules before posting phone numbers.

Is anyone seeing the plane in LA that has a busted landing gear?
-

Then I apologize and I must be talking about their older model.

The reason that I say crap is that I had a couple of clients that had this units, and withinn 6-8 months of continous use they started to fail, some had no picture, others had a problem of when viewing a recording, you see it one time, and when you want to search for them again, the system says that there is no recorder events. I mean, AVTECH does make good products for that price level, but I just don't understand why the eclipse branded ones failed like that, when the AVTECH branded never give any problems.
