Are you sure that you have an actual Geo card? because it sounds like you have a counterfeit card.

My mistake, the DVR is not 550.00, it's 699.99 Well, I haven't used the vitekk yet, and probably never will. The one that I have ha a very high quality image and has never given me any problems, 50+ installs and the only problem that I had was a bad power supply on one of them, but other than that I have personally no complaints, neither do my clients. I have to let you all know, if you are not a dealer, then my distributor will not sell it to you, and new dealers they want an initial $2500.00 for the first order, the reason they do it is so that they don't sell to the public If anyone is interested, if you pay shipping, I could get it for you, just PM me. -
ahhh, oh sh*t.

Well, I am using the Firefox browser, but to be honest, I'm having problems with it connecting to certain DVRS, but other than that it works great.

Bucklock, I did something like this for a couple of radio stations, and the best one for the price has been the Audigy2 Platinum from Creative.
-
But if you take a look at their stock, they are doing really well with the cheap stuff.
-
Well, I am happy to see that at least someone is making out from this forum, helping eachother is the only way that we can move ahead. By the way, I represent the Dominican Republic

Geovision in a rack server?
qman replied to MadMax's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Look at the Witness DVR cards. Because of the phillips chipset, they work in both intel and amd based chipsets. -
I think I know what you are talking about, I had the same problems with the cheap domes too, but I found out that it was a shipset problem, not a power one. You got to remember, the power board for the domes are basically the same as the mini cameras, so they have less features to cure things like this for example. A bank type camera has a more robust power board and because of the size, it can accomodate a better chipset to take care of this type of problems.

Well, as far as the software, sorry you are stuck with whatever it came with. The other problem someone here should be able to tell you how to help. and why do you think that the card is counterfeit? Can you post a PIC so that we can see it? -

-

Very true thomas, anything, even stand alone DVR'S need to have a firewall protecting them. Remember, anyone determined can get into an unprotected system, not only pc's, expecially since you can go to every manufacturers website and download a particular model's remote software, all it takes is an ingenious 14 year old with too much knowledge and time on his hands (trus me, I know )
