Uh, I use EVERYTHING, Ganz, Sony, Panasonic, Photronics, Cheapo taiwanesse and korean, even some pelcos. I get them from a million different places, must most of the time from factories direct.
-
You sure? All of the domes that I've worked with all have interchangable lens
-
My man, just change the lens on them, you can get them for around $10 bucks a pop anywhere
-
That's nothing, I once saw in a grocery store a couple of dummies inside the shelves, you take a can of soup, and VIOLA! there's the camera!! lol

I have another sugestion for you, this is the system that we are currently selling latetly, here's a PDF with more information, PDF FILE IS 6-MEGS, PLEASE BE PATIENT http://www.shscomputers.com/download/SHS-Witness.pdf if you need more info, send me a PM -
I order from asia, usually about a 100 at a time, but I get the warranty and the support locally thru AMEBA, local distributor. What I do for my clients is give them a "loaner" while their system is being repaired, but so far, it has only happened once, and the problem was not even the DVR, but the power supply that went dead.

Ok, let's have it! What's the best?????

Na man, I'm a CT boy now, a little more mellow~ -
Well, I sell the same DVR as Provideo, but with better features and for a lower cost, I get it directly from the factory OEM, and we put our own logo into them, but you cannot beat the warranty. 5 YEARS!!!

For real man!! at least a 4 port Gv-250 cheap enought for you to try it. -
Yeah, but GE ans Silent witness do not pass DOT certifications to install in emergency vehicles, they are too prone to excesive shocks!
-
Well, I, for example, sell one unit that's a Stand Alone DVR, 16 port, with remote access, and a hard drive. It's actually a Stand alone DVR that's no name brand, but to my experience, they are very relaiable. and also cheaper than going the Phillips route, since it looks like you'll need either 2 static ip's or network them together with a router here's a link: http://www.yoko-tech.com/2product/YK-9616.php If you need more info, or a demo, e-mail me

Good post AV, I'm starting to look for something similar now that the summer is here, and a lot of school bus companies are being required to provide video surveillance on their fleets.
-
How many cameras? I don't know of anything that's cost-effective that's cheaper than a stand alone "el cheapo" DVR
-
Sorry guys, had to move it to Computer section.

Damm people, then how come I got the system up and running with no problems? the windows files that it changed was the MPEG4 and Wavelet files. I already sent the factory a e-mail about it, and they will edit the installer to ask you first about installing these particular files. Please keep them coming, I have the system for one more day, since a client came in and saw it, liked it, bought it
-
I got my hands on one of their cards, can anyone tell me how good they are? I'm going to be testing it this week, but if someone knows anything about them, please let me know here's a link to the company's site: http://www.i-view.com.tw/dvrboard.htm#CP-1404HS-TXP

rory, did you insatll the "access runtime"? is there in the website.
-
so what are your overall opinion about it? I can make the demo available sometime today over the net so that you can tell me more. thanks
-
Basically, the lower the number in the lens, the wider the image, the higher the number, the furthest it can see.

Not too bad, things are picking up little by little, could use a person that can sell to hi-end clients, I just really have no time, since my customer base is 90% spanish-only speaking, I'm the only one that speaks spanish, I have NO TIME to go out and get high end client, like the ones you have for 15K a job -

8 CH 240FPS 120GIG CDRW NET -- $3000
qman replied to karnisar's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
I'm picking up a unit for a client today, when I get it over to my shop, I'll take the card out and snap a pic so that you all can see it and maybe tell me who the OEM is. But as far as I have seen, the software is very very user friendly, expecially for customers who baerly know how to use AOL. -
