  1. Well, check this DVR that I'm carrying now, I haven't been able to tell who makes the card, but anyway, here's the link Demo: http://www.amebacctv.com/demo.htm http://www.amebacctv.com/pro-7608se.html I saw their demo at their Headquaters in NY, and the image quality was excellent even at 320X480. But the best part is that they give me 5 year warranty from the factory direct.
  2. check your e-mail, I sent you something else
  3. Well, talking about analog, there is one thing that this new "digital" standars cannot compare to, at least for now, and that is that analog systems never crashed!

    OS For Geovision System?

Uhm, there is really no difference in these os's since they all are basically the same thing with the execption of Server. The best thing to do is to just use Win XP Pro (NOT HOME!!)

    via chipset?

One more thing, since I'm into the "PC GAMINIG" quite heavily, you guys are also forgeting that there is one other chipset for AMD, NFORCE. and for intel, VIA, SIS, ALI, also make chipset for INTEL CPU'S. (don't remember if ALI is still around)
  6. Holy ****, did she say that Geo has great marketing? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
  7. Whoa, let's get one thing straight. DVR_Australia is one of the most respected and knowledgeable members of this forum. If someone here makes a mistake, or you have personal opinions about a certain person, PM directly to that person, or keep it to yourself. The purpose of this forum is forum is for all of us to learn and research the ever changing cctv industry, we all help each other out, both dealers and end users alike., So please, I know that no one here is trying to start a problem, but it seems to me that is going that way, and I don't think that larry is going to appreciate his hard work and money that he has put out for this site to end up this way.
  8. Hey guys Got my hands on a avermedia 5000mp 4 port card. Problem lies in that when I plug in a cam to any of the ports, the image is ALL screwed up, like an old cable tv that is being messed up by the cable company. Now, one thing that I think it could be is that the video card in that machine is very old, an old matrox 8 meg AGP. I don't think that the card is bad, I have used it before, but I don't know what it could be.

  10. Well, uh, just because of that name, I don't think that any of my customers will trust any of those dvr's

    via chipset?

Look. Go to control panel, click on system properties, and in the bottom right it's going to tell you if is either an AMD or a Intel cpu.
  14. It's always best to use a separate PC to do the recording. As per what specs the machine should be, it all comes down to what DVR card you are going to use, if, for example, you are looking at a Geo 250, or 650 4 port, then as long as the CPU is a Pentium 4, or celeron, it does not have to be top of the line, I think that even an older 1.5ghz will do the trick, and at least 256 megs of ram, and a separate AGP card that supports directx 9.

    Storesafe DVR

What about making an image of the original hard drive>?
  16. TO all installers and dealers, just answer me this: Would you pay $45 for a dome camera, color, sharp CCD, .01 LUX, 420 TVline 3.6 lens, small, black case, 1 year warranty? How about $75 for a 12 LED, same as above spec, but in a Bullet case? Or maybe $199, for a Sony Chipset, 24 LED infra, the new 920mm LED's, 400TV Line, .001LUX, ARMOR DOME,(nice one too). Just asking, I'm setting up my business as a small distributor, so please, help out, thanks!!

    CCTV standards in Iran

Uhmm, are you all forgeting something? A little word called "embargo" No US company is allowed to coduct business in a country that the State Department has on their "embargo" list. If I were you, I would find out if you are even allowed to do anything over there before you end up in jail.
