Well, to answer your question, the card that you are looking at is the same one you bought

I'm telling you, give the ALNET a try.. I'll make a deal with you, and I'm going to post it here so that EVERYONE can see it, so there's no saying that I did not say so. If you decide to buy another DVR card, I'll sell you one of the 4 ports, at DEALER price, and I'll give you 14 DAYS to try it out, Don't like it?, let me know, I'll refund every single penny of your purchase when you send the card back, if you are interested, give me a e-mail hermin@shscomputers.com and to make things better, I'll let you pay me thru paypal, which also covers you in case of fraud, just another assurance. Card cost for dealer: 149.99 (+ Shipping) 4 port, 30fps, 8 input, 4 output relays built in the card.

Damm, no takers?

What do you mean by this? All we are trying to say is that you should'nt get this system because it's a toy, you should consider something else. Remember, most of us here are professionals of the security industry, we know what we are talking about, and we are just trying to help you make a smart decision without getting burned.

TRUST ME, THEY SUCK!!!!! THEY CRASH, LEFT RIGHT AND CENTER. I TRIED THOSE ALREADY

Uhm, she bought the DVR with the infamous PICO 2000 software, If you can cancel it, do so.
-
With that kind of budget, I doubt that you will be able to find a good day/night camera, your best best is to get a BW camera, with a low LUX rating.
-
Well, with the new PCI Express coming out soon, that's supposed to be 2.5ghz, (compared to the old PCI that has 33mhz,), then we are going to see some real nice pictures from our DVR;s., imagine a .99C card then that works like a $1500.00 today? We shall see

Well, I'm not going to deny that I sell taiwanese cameras, but if you know who to get them from, then you would be ok, I got some cheap $50 IR bullet that I tried, and they work ok in pitch black conditions, indoor, outdoor, if there;s minimal light, like a streetlight, is also OK, I can send you guys some pics as an example. And regarding that john walsh, I don't kow his name, but that company just got busted for selling counterfit Geovison cards, and selling refurbished computers as new about 3 weeks ago.

It's alright, you didn't know, most people don't

Damm, Interestig discussion I'm throwing in my own 2 cents.. a lot of manufactures say that their cards do XXX FPS, Example: "8 Port DVR Card, 120FPS" but in reality, if you make the math, 120/8=15!! That means that you only get 15fps recording. SO, be very careful on what you buy

I WISH!!!!!!!!!

I also got curious, so I took one board, took off the heat-sink, and the chip says: "AL-NET AN565 Rev 1.2". Nothing about Bt, or connexant. And regarding the compression, I havnot seen anything on the software that would suggest anytipe of compression. So It has to be on the board, the let me research this a little further and I'll get back to you.
-
sure!!, whats your email? and one more thing IT does not use the BT chip, it's a alnet chip and yes, it does have built in compression
-
The "PRO" version have the usual 30fps, but I'm not going to lie to my colleagues, these cards are so well constructed that I have seen them perform at peak 11-12fps per camera all at one time, almost 50fps!!! And the software layout is far more professional looking than that of the digi or the geo's.
