Getting video over rough terrain

You now, I got a simple question to all this. Does the installation have to be wired or can or cannot be wireless? -

If you look at the first post, he said AIRFORCE installm which means that he cannot use WIRELESS, not so much for interferience purposes, but because of someone possibly "hack" the frequency line and be able to view what's going on. But, what abaout exterior grade, or direct burial CAT5? With some NVT balums and active transivers would also do the trick, and it will give you at least 2 more pairs to use just in case. Plus, it will also be less os a hastle than to deal with fiber, and cheaper. -
and stay away from most of them anyhow, don't go eBay route, there are several users here who can sell you a quality card, yous ask, and you'll get someopne to respond

That would be great Lev, since rory is on his way up (hopefully), then we can keep him busy

You will have to use black fiber. But you must have to power the camera localy, can't run power on fiber. Also remember, fiber stuff is EXPENSIVE. -
what is your method of installing
qman replied to jisaac's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
I usually put up the conduit first, then run all the cables from all the cameras to the DVR/PS. After that then I install the cameras and other equipment. -
I know this card, and for the price, it's not a bad deal, just won't have as many features as the more expensive ones. What exactly is it that you are asking?
