All the cameras except one of the KCM series cameras appear twice, ending in 1 and 2. I've put the ones with stream 1 into a folder so its easier to manage, the software is great but it's a shame they don't support these cameras

I don't know if it'd be switching between the 2 different streams since they seem to appear as 2 separate cameras? And both were being recorded until I edited the schedule... I've got the M3007 mounted on the ceiling in the middle of a retail store so I can get a Front and Rear view but this won't be possible with Avigilon it seems, quite surprising that they don't support the Views and Dewarping

Got it all working now The big problem is that Avigilon doesn't support Axis M3007 360 Camera, so I can't see the individual views, just the 360 image! Im trying it at home as well and it doesn't support any of my 7 Acti cameras (E76, E74, E76, E46), I've got them all working with ONVIF but by default Acti camera's give 2 streams which can't be turned off so every camera has 2 streams which is annoying. Avigilon also seems a bit more resource heavy over Exacq. Both have pros and cons, if only Exacq was the same price as Avignon!

Im trying to add Axis cameras but Avignon keeps telling me i've got the wrong username/password, its saying this on all of the cameras, even tried creating new users in the Axis web setup EDIT: When i searched for the cameras manually and specified it as Axis it works, by default it was finding them all as ONVIF

I've got 8 Axis IP cameras and am looking for new recording software as I'm not happy with Axis Camera Companion. Been using ExacqVision and I like it but thought I should try Avigilon before I go ahead. Is there a trial version available and how do I get it? Is there any major differences between the 2?

Is there any newer cameras from Acti with the same low light performance as the 5611? Since its a pretty old model now, i would've thought theres some new models with even better performance?

I got an KCM-5611 this week and have been very pleased with the overall image quality of this camera. I've read online that this camera has a larger sensor which makes it so good, but when comparing specs on other Acti cameras it doesn't say what the size of the sensor is, which makes it hard to know what quality to expect My question is, are there other cameras Acti makes with equal or better image quality than the KCM-5611? Perhaps a dome? I don't really need the zoom functionality, just need the best image quality and low light performance

Thanks for the reply. I'm not too worried about the difference in megapixels, its more about the overall clarity of the image especially in low light. I saw all your reviews and also the one about the KCM-5611 which seems like the best out of the lot. Would you perhaps recommend a combination of KCM-5611s for the driveway and E84s for an overview shot? I need to install these asap so can't really wait

I'm looking at installing 8 Dome IR cameras around the house. ACTi seems to have the right cameras t good prices but I'm really confused about which one to get! Low light performance is crucial as there are a lot of areas with little or no light. After looking at some of the reviews I'm a bit concerned about the bright ring of light when the IR is on at night Does anyone have any experience with these cameras? Any help or recommendations appreciated! Thanks in advance

Hi, I have a client who currently has 3x 16ch Tibet Magic Radar DVRs and one Geovision GV2008 8ch DVR. They want to upgrade this system to something that records full frames (30fps) at D1 res. They want 64 channels on a common platform. So far i've thought of putting in 3x Geovision DVRs each with 2xGV2008 cards and putting in another GV2008 card into the existing DVR. This is for a large supermarket, they dont have any PTZ but may get 3-4 ptz and want capacity for upto 6 ip/megapixel channels in the future. Is this a good option? What specs would you recommend on each of the dvrs having 2xgv2008. And lastly what is the difference in having something like a Geovision GV2008 DVR (which i think is pretty high-end) and one of those really expensive DVRs like Dallmier or Dedicated Micros. These seem to have lowers res/fps and higher prices.

Hi, I need some advise regrding a site that i am upgrading, they currently have 64 analogue cameras. The dvrs currently used are of very low spec. I have though of two options. Please comment on which one would provide better quality video and any other advantages: 1) 4 New DVRS with 2xGV2008 in each, will provide 25 fps per channel at D1 resolution. I think this will provide good footage, and software is powerful with many features, though will work out quite expensive. Also leaves me the option of adding more ip/megapixel cameras to the same dvrs in future. 2) Use 16x Avigilon 4 Channel Analogue Encoders. Can be rackmounted (3 per rack). These will take the analogue signal and convert it into ip and give each input an ip address. The encoder will also provide 25 fps at full resolution. Also supports PTZ control. One NVR would be setup with Avigilon Control Center software, since each encoder is regarded as one ip channel i would only need 16 licenses. I have heard the software is quite good as well. Also leaves me the option of adding more ip/megapixel cameras to the same dvrs in future.

Hi Guys, I am running a Geovision DVR with 1x GV2008, it does 8 channels at D1 res. and 25 fps. Running very well, very clear footage compared to any other dvr i've seen. Software is excellent, tons of features and analytics. I'm going to put in another GV2008 so i'll get 16 analogue channels and with 8.3 i'll get another 16 IP Cameras using a nvr dongle. So i get 32 channels in one dvr. Before i upgrade i want to know, is this still the best card out there. What do you think, who do you prefer, who do you think offers better quality. Hi, I am building a new DVR using a Geovision 2008 card. Would you recommend any changes or does it seem fine, i am building this my self. Which case should i use, i cant seem to find a DVR Rackmount Case.
