Milestone cant do that yet but they are working with their analytics server to try and get this done through a third party analytic. As for the http commands I am not an IT guy so that would be a stretch for me to perform and not worry about screwing something up. The webcontrol module sounds interesting as it can monitor the status of IO from a device on the network and if I am thinking correctly, you could then in turn energize one of its 5v logic outputs. Not sure what our IT department would think of me getting this without them looking it over though but we'll see. I am using Milestone Enterprise, I tried simulating a motion output on a camera at my desk and could not get the Axis IO module to respond to it. I know I was hooked up to it because I was looking at the camera through IO module. Maybe I had something setup wrong, I dont have to use script do I to get it to work? I am referring to the P8221, that is the only one I could find. Thanks Craig

Hello all, Here is what I got and what I am looking for. Currently have an Axis Q1755 that is detecting fog through the motion detection function and turning on Output at camera and firing a solid state relay that then sends signal to a Banner Wireless I/O Gateway and then to the Wireless I/O node and then to our PLC for monitoring. I am looking for a device that will eliminate the wireless I/O. So I am looking for something that I can hook up to my network at my plant and map it to the specified camera and fire outputs on it when the cameras output is turned on through the motion event. Any Ideas, I was told by our Axis rep that Axis made one but after I got it and tried it out I found that it would only work remotely with audio detection and I dont need that. Thanks Craig

Yeah I believe we are going with the Ipro cameras and I am going to have to have a certified installer put them in and setup, I do plan on getting ipro certified so I can maintenance the system. And I have 0% knowledge of setting up a wireless cam system so I plan on being involved the entire time so I can learn something(maybe). Thanks for the comments

Well I am going to try and approve another vendor (maybe WAV if prices are reasonable)but so far here is some of my options I am going to try. 1. Micro tek Wireless setup 1,acces point and 2 transmitters. 2. Micro Tek software and licenses 3. Axis 1577Q HD 2 MP cam w/housing 4. Axis 211M 1.3 MP cam w/housing 5. Company built PC with how ever many gig I can talk them into. The above setup is looking like 5700 - 6400 without labor.... or 1. whatever WAV uses for Wireless 2. Panasonic I-Pro Network Cams 3. Hopefully Panasonic NVR I did like the looks of the Axis 1577Q do any of you guys have any thoughts on these or the I-Pro

Ok here goes, going to look into the Toshiba Wireless, and use a Cisco access point. But I need to make sure that camera has the umph to get back as far as needed? I would then plan on using a NVR if possible to record the video from Camera. First thought was tango falcon and Panasonic, yes power at pole and enternet at gaurd shack. then go into Panasonic DVR and let the 2 images be viewable online at two different locations. Located in Central Illinois. I am getting ready to look into the Avermedia 1304NETSATA. Thanks VST_Man Round 2 - I have been talking to Microtek about the analog Wireless setups that they offer with there 30 day trial, which I think is nice. One problem I have is that I am stuck using Northern Video to purchase all my equipment because they are the only approved vendor for my company. So I talked to them today about getting a cheapo wireless IP camera that I can setup with this Cisco Access point to get an idea of range and other issues without dropping 1000.00 for a good wireless IP cam.

Thanks, My thought was to use the Falcon on both ends and use a panasonic analog camera for the picture. Are you saying that if I used a wireless camera that I would have to make sure the strength was there? Once again I am pretty lame with the wireless so thanks for the help.

I have been looking into the Trango Falcon system for an analog camera that will be about 600ft from the reciever. I have no experience with wireless setups for cameras. I am assuming that with the Falcon 5.8Ghz and good LOS that this should be no issue. But I see where some talk about cutting distance in half with wireless(if it says 1200ft go 600ft). So I was curious about the distance limits for clear picture and good signal if I use what I think??? is a good wireless TxRx setup.

The pelco dvr has 16 plus a 16 channel expansion. I also got a quote for a panasonic that was about 2300 dollars :WJRT208250 I know of panasonics PTZ's and I have heard decent things about them but havent heard alot about the dvr's. So guys, does any one have anything bad to say about the Extreme fixed cams or does someone have an argument for a better fixed bullet camera that has good IR as well or are they all the same??

The Pelco will not work work with IP cameras. I think I will stick with the fixed for now. I have another project in another plant, 4 fixed cameras at certain outside loading areas. I was thinking of the Extreme CCTV fixed bullets : WZ18NV3120/and the WZ20NXV5500 series. Just curious if any of you guys had used these and how well did they hold up in cold to hot climates? I noticed they had external control for zoom.(my fault,external means manual,and if we use these I might need some of your guys expertise). Does speco make a decent dvr. that was what this plant budgeted for : Speco Technologies #DVR8TN160. 1200.00$(beats the 11,000 we spent on the 3terabyte pelco dvr for the main plant) I have two responsibilities at work 1-oversee maintenance of plant packaging equipment. 2- oversee the plant cctv systems (which I have limited experience with just installing pelco PTZ's for 8 years and maintaining them, so my experience is limited with cctv systems so bare with me.

What type of range does the wireless relays have, I dont think it would work for most of my situations but it would for an inside warehouse area that I have only one PTZ in. Thanks for the info. Has anyone seen a multiple imager that can take temps of -10 to +100 Im from Central Illinois.

Hello everyone, I need some advice? 1. Currently have 13 Spectras (3's and 4's) Cameras are outside and cover parking and plant entrances. Having issues seeing everything with the PTZ. (not in the right spot at the right time) 2. Currently am persuing options of 3 fixed cameras in place of each PTZ.(Have never used anything except PTZ, looking for a good fixed camera replacement that is the bullet style). I am not a professional with cctv, I just install and maintain the cameras for my plant. We currently are using the Pelco DX8100DVR to record the cameras now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
