I'm needing some camera's in a shop to be able watch a CNC machine in operation. What would you guys recommend? I want to stay away from IP camera's due to the slight video delay. The operators need to be able to see everything the machine is doing in real time. Hopefully there is an inexpensive solution. Thank you, Eric

Lagless Live View Camera/System For CNC Machines

The machine is an open machine. Here's a video of it. Due to the pc control location and size the operator cannot see when he has jogged material to the first clamp for referencing. Punches on each side of the machine need to be seen for tool change alignment and operation. I was thinking of getting a four channel system. One to see the infeed. One for each punching side and the fourth for the shear end. What do you think? -

Are there any NVR's that are compatible with the older analog camera's? I will still need to store video but direct view should have very low lag. How many milliseconds is acceptable before noticing? -

Is this ingress rating good enough for an outdoor camera? Will it be able to stand in rain without moisture porblems?

Would there be any problems if I went with Cat5 instead. That way should I want to upgrade to IP camera's I can. -
I'll give you $50 for it.

I recently found out i dont have a rs232 port on my computer which is required for ptz. Are ther any reliable pci cards that have it? Anyone have any experiance with conversions to it.

Man this eagle is no lie. I did'nt know they are that powerful. I would not want to be hiking in these mountains. Look at footage 42 sec in and 5:05 and the last one is brutal at 6:38.

Intellicam G4-400HPT and ISC-P540X Review

I almost bought these camera's based on your review. I'm glad a vendor took his sweet time to get back to me as i would have quite a few of these. Whew -
Could you guys check my design out and let me know if there are any fatal flaws in it. Office will have a Avermedia NV5000 system Shops 1-3 will have color bullet camera's ECL-596. The shops are about 80' x 50' Cameras 4-7 will be Nuvico CBSD3895 Camera 8 will be a PTZ looking at the choke point and around the area. This will be a budget build but I am willing to upgrade the camera's if it will drastically make a difference. The goal of the system is mostly for monitoring and general identification. I would like the ptz to be able to track & maybe read the plates of vehicle if possible. Please let me know what you guys think.

What was the outcome? I hope you told the customer to shove it.

Here's the sat view. I plan to use this for daytime mainly and at night I want to monitor up to my steel yard fence, where the two white cars are parked. I dont want to place camera's deep in the steel yard because it will require heavy machinery to steal them and the only way out is through the front. About the ptz at that point, I might need to go with something else? My setup might not be able to take a ptz where I had wanted it, no rs232 port. What outdoor type of camera would you recommend for the parking lot for day/night use? Thanks for taking a look at it scorpion.

If any vendors here can supply these camera's and accesories please pm me.

What PTZ camera's are supported by NV5000 cards? I cant find it on avermedia site. Any recommendations for a decent cheap one that I can hook up and play around with.
