Diff between Panasonic WJ-MP204/WJ-MP204C Data Multiplexer
G22 posted a topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Anyone know what the difference is between the two? Same with the WV-CU360 vs WV-CU360C controller. C model newer? Thx. -
Did you change the camera settings, or GEO? When ours was too dark or bright, we went to 'Configure -> Video Attributes -> Standard' to change Brightness/Contrast, etc. and AGC settings. That seemed to correct things. We have a Panasonic 474, so we had to change a setting there as well since it was too dark. DNR, DNL instead of OFF, can't recall exactly what the cam setting was.

I try not to get to close to GEO either. When I go to work, I tell our GEO system to stay over der on the other side of the building.

There is stupid, then there is this one... stupidest. Stealing bloody valve stem caps He did the same on many other cars down the street. Pathetic eh. http://216.185.66.23/images/cctv/valve_stem_cap_thief.wmv

Happens here occasionally as well, among other annoyances like the web server dying whenever it feels like it. Geo sucks dongles.

I picked up some RG59 at Home Depot today, it does not say RG59/U however. It says on the cable... RG-59 FOAM 20 AWG 75c (UL) E111378 CL2 CSA LL77501 FT-1 "OR" CATV E135174 Is this good enough to use? It is for an internal dome cam.

Get a 7200rpm HD. Or, just send it to me, and I will make good use of it BTW, my Dell Latitude D505 seemed pathetically slow from day one. I added 1GB of Crucial RAM... made no difference. IMO, it is the 5400rpm HD and/or the integrated video card that are the main issues.

I know that they are expensive. http://www.marchnetworks.com/

What bout BNC -> RCA for the modulator video inputs... do you lose much video quality in that process?

I want to do something similar eventually. Since I have only Satellite for TV and Cable Internet via coax... is it possible to use the Cable Internet coax w/o affecting the Cable Modem signal? Also, can one just use a completely independent coax to the TV, or does an actual Cable TV signal need to be on the coax as well? I get a couple local channels but everything else is filtered on the street by the Cable Guy.
