Interesting, thx. Now I am wondering if the 3506 would be better for me. I am only going to have 3 or 4 cameras max, since this is for home use.

Thx Levon. I will prob get one from you soon. I am selling off a few of my guns to pay some bills, but there should be enough to get one hopefully. Rebecca Peters from IANSA said I should get rid of all my guns cuz she will protect me from all the BG's. I believe her so I am complying. I see the 3009 only does SSP? I doubt I will use it though anyway. I am addicted to Panasonic cams, and since I already have a PS-DATA monitor, I will prob just end up getting the Panasonic controller w/Data Muliplexer later on anyway for camera control, menu setup, etc.

What would a GEO GV800-4 card be worth these days used? This one has 4 x BNC connectors. Dongle and v7 software also included. Thx.

It's the boxed style like the newer WV-CP484 Panasonic. Day/Night, built-in motion, OSD, etc. ... apparently this is not FS separately now. We are selling our building soon and going to include the CCTV stuff. Good for me anyway... I can't stand GEO anymore. If I ever do it again, I am going with a GE or Sanyo DVR instead.

Yes 120 ding dongs per second. We got it from Sentry Security Systems (cctvsentry.com) who is an official GEO ding dong. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/7_0.asp It looks like we will be selling everything CCTV related we have which aint much. The card, Pan CP-474 cam and Pelco EH3512-2MT housing.

We had a plane crash earlier today, as most prob already know by now. Amazing everyone survived. I see they have CCTV footage from a nearby MTO traffic cam. Any idea how they set a system like this up? Wireless perhaps? I am considering doing something like this at our cottage... but it is in the middle of nowhere. I think they have telephone lines though. It has been broken into a few times recently. Was thinking of getting a basic cheapy DVR and hiding it inside somewhere, as well as a few hidden cams high in the trees or something. At the worst, video would need to be viewed locally.

If Windoze and no SSH type access to this hosted site (which is not likely anyway since hosted)... install Eudora on this server and create as many personalities as needed... then setup the accts to check email regularly... but make sure to enable the 'leave mail on server' option for each personality. Only prob I can think of with this option... is that the server is checking email and leaving on server for storage... and the client is checking email remotely at the same time and prob does not have the 'leave mail on server' option enabled. So some mail will never make it to the backup server. Perhaps just do the email client filter as suggested. I dono, perhaps Tomas has some suggestions.

What kind of access to this fatcow site? SSH? Telnet? Webmail only? What kind of server? Windoze or Linux? FTP the mailboxes and TOC's daily perhaps? What about setting up a filter in the email client (ie. Eudora) that auto-forwards received emails to the corresponding email acct on the co server (that just sits and not checked unless manual)... or forwarded to a blanket email such as root, nobody or mailadmin?

Just one camera... Panasonic WV-CP474. Geo is in 'Angel Mode' currently.
