I guess I could prob do w/o a vari one. I will look at some from that site. Thx With with this Panasonic WV-CP474 cam and Fujinon lens (very 1st one listed at the cctvimports site)... am I supposed to use the alum ring that came with the cam? I believe it is a CS-Mount? The lens threads into the alum mount and the mount into the cam. But what is its actual function though other than the lens being further away from the CCD thingy?

Thx. The one I have looks like this one but with SA2L at the end. I wonder if this day/night one would be better though for my Panasonic WV-CP474? I wanted the WV-CP484 but got a good deal on this one.

Any other Fujinon lens recommendations? There is very low lighting in the back yard, until a motion light or two is installed. Back yard is small (garage will take up almost 1/2 of it). Thx. What bout this Day/Night one... Fujinon YV5X2.7R4B-SA2L 2.7-13.5mm Auto Iris Vari-Focal Length Lens

I just connected everything temporarily and unless I am doing something wrong... the edges of the screen are curved inwards. Any ideas? Thx.

Differences Between Luxriot and Video Insight?
G22 replied to GAtkins's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
What about Remote Playback between Video Insight and LuxRiot using the Client software (not the web client)? Pros/Cons between the two? Can VI run as both Application and Windows Service? Anyone know who the programmers are at Luxriot? Americans? -
What be this? Did not know they made DVR cards. I have a Pinnacle DV500 capture card that has Philips on a chip or two. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=88756&item=5786067448&rd=1

Yes, but the head office is in Kingston. He looks like an affiliate perhaps for them. http://www.cctvsentry.com/ is the main site I believe. We got our GEO card from them. Terry from the Kingston office is very nice to deal with... although I still am not happy with our card cough software so far.

Looks like a Sentry affiliate out of Kingston.

That help quite a bit, thanks. I was seeing diff info on diff sites. ie. Triplex, not Triplex. Have you ever used the 3506? Pros/Cons?

sjm, you be needing this cam I played with one for a while with a 360C controller. They are quite nice... and large.

I dunno... we had this employee who said "Can't Be Done" most of the time when asked to do web stuff.

Although I really like them, it is a pain to have to adjust these Panasonic cams via the menu/cursors on the side of them. They have many settings that I want to do on the fly, and not put a ladder up with a portable monitor any time I want to adjust something. That is why if I stick wth 474/484's etc, I am definitely getting a Panasonic Matrix Switcher like the WJ-SX150 (or perhaps the Data Multiplex Unit) with WV-CU360C controller, unless there is other software/hardware out there that has their protocol.
