I will be in the same situation sometime this year hopefully. Does this apply to Canada as well?
-
But there is no reserve though. Unless they use that technique (ferget the ebay name for it) where the scumbag seller creates bogus buyer accts and bids on their own item to drive up the price. I guess they could just end the auction early if they are not satisfied with the price. I think in that case, they should be forced to have a reserve price in stead of wasting ppls time. IMO

No good I guess fo you, only to US/Canada

My PCI-E BFG 6600GT vid card has HDTV output. Wonder how that would look on the big screen Sony

Looks like a normal AGP card?

I have 1 74GB 10k WD Raptor SATA and 3 x 300GB Seagate SATA HD's. What would be the best RAID setup for these drives? Perhaps scrap the 74GB and go with a RAID-5 with the 3 x 300GB drives? Get another 74GB and run RAID-0 with those 2 drives and another RAID-0 with the remaining 2 or 3? Or would you even bother with RAID? I am not too concerned with redundancy however. Also, how reliable is hardware RAID with XP in general? I have always used RAID-5 on RedHat Linux with SCSI drives and never Windows. The only time the RAID ever failed on Linux was when using a U160 card with U320 drives and setting the speed too high in the SCSI BIOS. I also intentionally pulled a drive from RAID-5 just to see if it rebuilt and used the 4th hot-spare drive. Other than that, I have never experienced a RAID failure using Linux knock on wood. Thx.

All wrong, I have v9.5 here now.

It is for a PC Based DVR. Either the 74GB just for the OS and programs as it is now with the other just for storage, OR the 3 300GB for everything in RAID-5 perhaps. The ASUS MB I have does RAID 0, 1, 5, and 0+1. Or is an add-on RAID card preferred? I thought the PCI bus should be as free as possible when using a DVR card? Thx.

After upgrading to v7. the Web and TCP servers occasionally crash whenever I view playback remotely. When I go to the console, the Web server for example stopped running. I then have to restart it. Just crappy GEO or something else?

Anyone have any sites/pics of external cameras on the exterior of houses (front in particular) and garages perhaps? Thx.
-
Video Loss Alarm for cameras you enabled in the settings but don't actually have connected perhaps?

Can I get end-user pricing on XECAP100 and XECAP200 as well as Luxriot software, or this strictly a dealer only site? It does not clearly say... unless I missed something. Any other sites that sell and have pricing on Comart XECAP DVR cards?
-
I got my DongleVision card from cctvsentry.com. I buy pretty much all my computer stuff from DirectDial or Tiger Direct. DD is a reputable company AFAIK. GEO needs a GUI like LuxRiot or something.
-
Gawd, even DirectDial sells GeoVision.
-
Next thing... Rory will b joining IANSA
-
Communications Breakdown? And now you are going GEO?? I will only consider going back to them if some good ol local programmer writes some decent software for their cards. And something simple, Server/Client/PDA software, web client, and that's it.
-
ya but wut model number? cctv.net pricing?
-
BTW, when all is done with our GEO card, I am taking it to the range and goin Glock on it. Not to ferget the lil dongle also.
-
What model be your I-View card??
-
The GEO system is setup where I work... this is for home use. I am not touching GEO again unfortunately.
-
I just hope whatever DVR card I get is compatible with my MB and 955x chipset.
-
Can you PM me the prices from cctv.net with their XECAP cards? Or is it dealer prices? Also, what model I-View card are you using? Thx.
-
I-view is still on my list... I just need more prices. I sent you PM recently. Thx.
