$360. Which model card that be? Who be this BubbaVision place anyway? Are they decent? Had a quick hik look at their site and they say they are 'The World Leader in Digital Video Surveillance Technology'. Now I just do not know who to believe... too many are the bestest or the world leaders. -
Our GV800 has been seemingly getting worse over the past year. One of the current probs is that when ANY motion is detected on the screen, it sends an email... so I am being flooded with emails. And I do have the filter mask setup. In fact, nothing has changed with the filter... it just stopped working properly within the past week or so. We did setup a cheap lil dome cam in the server room with no filter mask at all. Wonder if that is the problem? I have our 1 x cam to record 24/7 because GEO has been fussy with motion detection from day one. Sometimes, it does not even pick up motion when clearly a person is walking by. And yes, we are using a decent cam... Panasonic WV-CP474 Day/Night. In addition to this, I can no longer change the fps settings as the setting is not editable. It seems to allocate by itself, which seems to be at least 25-30fps. Of course, I still have the jerky/choppy motion issue, which may just be the CPU (only a 2.4GHz currently) Any ideas? Re-install the GEO software?

If this is the reason 640x480 is the max recording resolution... why is GEO v7 software claiming 720x480? Or is that 'display' resolution and NOT 'recording'? http://www.geovision.com.tw/002/en/supports-04.asp

Anyone have more info on this? I have not been able to get a response yet. Apparently, there is a 10% software fee after the 1st year is up? However, the download site is not passwd protected at all. Thx.

Anyone know what DVR's (or PC Based?) are used in large stores? ie. Walmart. When I was in the local Home Depot, I noticed they had large Sanyo monitors. Curious if they have Sanyo DVR's as well.

Well then... at the end-user quote I received for the economical 3204... they can bite my ding dong! None even have any buttons to play wit on the front!
-
The March Networks 3204 which has a total of 60fps across 4 inputs says that this is for CIF setting only. Does that mean the 3204 can only record at 320x240 if each input is set to 15fps for example? What good is 320x240 anyway?
-
March Networks eh. Interesting. Thx.

OMG, GEO Playback just crashed in IE. Unless I was seeing things, 'Game Over' flashed in large white lettering in the playback window for a split second. Damn, I have been playing a video game all this time!

Can we find out who wrote the GeoVision software so we can like slap them around a bit with a large trout?

Jus say no to da dongle?

Swapping Kalatel Safestore pro CD-RW with DVD+R

Yes, I noticed on the recent StoreSafe demo I was having a bit of trouble getting used to the remote playback, disk analysis screen. Thanks for setting that up to check out. Even though I am no fan of our GEO setup at work, Remote Playback is very nice and easy to scroll back and forth using the slider. It makes finding things much easier. -

I see the StoreSafe (all of GE?) is Wavelet. Is this a plus or is MPEG4 better? -

Not sure, I don't think I would be able to sleep at night knowing it was only 30fps total. I would have nightmares or something. I need the mostest fps Yes, the turbo 120fps all black (from the pics I have seen)... the other StoreSafe's should be all black like that one. The regular ones remind me of computers I have built with black cases, but white CD-ROM's which look stupid. http://www.geindustrial.com/cwc/products/ge-interlogix?pnlid=9&famid=63&catid=1088&id=DVMRePRO&lang=en_US -

That be 2500 Canadian Dollas, around 1990 US Dollas. Of course, I cannot post the actual end-user quote, because *cough* someone keeps deleting it. -

The StoreSafe Pro SDVR-4P-40 4-channel was the one I was looking at. CDR's are so cheap, I am surprised they don't have a black one installed instead of white. -

I be curious. If I end up getting the StoreSafe Pro, I am going to pull the drive and connect it to my laptop via an external USB enclosure and see what I be see partition type wise with Partition Magic, as well as if it is just a simple copy/paste of the http and related files. If easy, then the 40GB option it be 5400 though? I hope it can accept a 7200 RPM. -
But that will just make militants happy. That and their Allahu Akbar crap.

I know... I have never heard of a compliant criminal Prob no weapons for the Police... they would have to qualify as Ninja's, but would only be allowed to use their hands and feet.

Some *** from Australia who thinks she can rid the entire world of small arms and from law abiding citizens and create her own version of 'Demolition Man'. http://www.iansa.org/ Maybe she will want to take action on knives and forks next. The UN is just as pathetic. http://www.iansa.org/issues/un_marking_tracing.htm

Holy crappola Rory, that is bloody ignorant. Perhaps Rebecca and IANSA can help you. I am told she works miracles in preventing gun violence and all violence in general. When a BG approaches you to attack, apparently she has powers to ward off the evil doers. At least that's the rumour.
-
That's why Rebecca from IANSA will protect you and all others from harm with her powers. She makes me feel so safe, I got rid of all my guns.
