Yes, I definitely will be getting Siamese for the next cam. I spent about quite some time electrical taping the two together. I now have the joyous task of drilling another large hole through our office floor/ceiling.
-
I would never buy anything CCTV related off ebay IMO. I am sure some dealers will reply giving some advice.

I just picked up 100ft of RG59/U w/95% copper braiding yesterday at my local CCTV store. The cheap Home Depot RG59 cable can just sit around indefinitely. I did however pick up some 18AWG power cable (3 wires inside) at Home Depot instead to replace the 24AWG I picked up from there. This cable is pretty heavy duty... it looks just like white coax cable but thicker outside. It also has 3 loose fluffy thingies inside (no idea what they are called)... I assume it is to pull the cable through the wall if attached to a long string?

ok... it be the 'Multi-View' that has 720*480
-
yep, I found download.ocx and download~.ocx to name a few in the Downloaded Programs folder and removed them. When I went back to the sentry site, it still downloaded ...6110.cab and there was still the same washed out Best Quality(640*480 De-interlace) option, but still no 720x480 that was mentioned. I will try your other suggestions as well, thx.

I deleted all GEO related stuff from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Still nothing. I can still access our site fine using v6.0. Perhaps a .dll that has to be removed somewhere?

Unless my reading skills are bad or something, the current RULES say... dealers in the forum cannot post prices and locations on where to get products , and no more posting of dealer prices. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1341 Big difference between that and me for example as an end-user looking for retail prices.
-
I was just informed that demo1.cctvsentry.com is in fact using v7 software... so you be correct.
-
No kidding.
-
Perhaps all dealers in the non-dealer forums should have a lil dealer avatar or something.
-
ditto. I am still looking for a DVR, and obviously if I cannot pricing... that kinda defeats the purpose don't it.
-
It says no dealer posting of pricing in the rules. These are quotes for personal consumer user, not dealer. I am not a dealer so obviously I would not request 'access' to the dealer forum. So what is the problemo?

Apparently they are fairly common here from what I have heard so far. I have never used one though. The local store I deal with in Burlington (Hill's TV/Audio) has them and speaks well of them. They had a used CPT-SDR410 at their annual sale last week. While I was there, someone grabbed the 16-channel Capture DVR. March Networks is another popular one around here it seems. Hill's replaced their high end in-store Panasonic WJ-HD316 with the March Networks 4410... more than likely due to the higher frame rate.

Are you from Canada by chance?
-
Perhaps it interferes with our GEO setup. We are still using 6.0 software, and I can view ours fine remotely.
-
Well I had this same prob yesterday... I press Play and it keeps saying Stop. The only way I got the plugin/codec or whatever it called is to go to Remote Playback and it then downloaded. I could then view Live.
-
The response I got with that is... "The USB Dongle is essentially a hardware serial key" whatever that is.
-
I will be trying to kill this plugin and try again. I am also going to email them again. I just emailed them on the 14th and they said they did not have v7 yet.
-
Yes, only says 640x480... but I just downloaded this plugin like yesterday. To be exact, the option is washed out. It says... Best Quality(640*480 De-interlace)
