Just seen these in a Cabela's catalog. Up to 5.0MP, stored on Flash cards, built-in flash on some, IR, etc. Anyone use them in a CCTV setup? They look kinda neat. I guess if you don't mind going out there every so often and replacing the flash card, batteries, etc.

Anyone used these cameras? Pros/Cons? Any recommendations for similar track style housings with or w/o heater/blower that have a greater temp range? Will be used outside, and temps can be anywhere from -30c to +35c. -30c is very rare here, but still a possibility. Sorry, no speak da fahrenheit . No budget, so any camera recommendation goes. I am broke currently, but have expensive taste (can't stand cheap stuff). Maybe that's why I b broked. Thx.

Yep. I have 2 x 19" NEC CRT's at work + 1 cheapy 17" one on the side via a CAT5 KVM Extender for CCTV. I cannot work w/o more than one monitor for very long. I usually use one to watch certain log files on our Linux servers and the main one for everything else. The 2 CRT's, the laser printer on my desk, plus the other 17" monitor... things get hot after a bit, especially in the summer.

I was under the impression that you needed a Panasonic System Controller (ie. WV-CU360C, WV-CU161C, etc) that uses PS-DATA to be able to control the Panasonic PTZ cams. I could be wrong though. Panasonic DVR's would support them for sure though. Big $$$ though for the pretty blue/silver one.

What??? I don't agree with your statistical or design analysis; people get suggestions on where to get stuff everyday. Members probably were'nt familiar with those exact models. +1 Not to ferget either.. phpbb seems to count ALL clicks/views, not just unique ones. In addition to that, there are constant spiders and bots. We have MSN bots, Yahoo/Google spiders, etc. on our forums 24/7 it seems. Every time I look they are there, whether idle or otherwise.

updated ver of phpbb... or another forums prog like vBulletin?

Maybe they skipped it and going right to v10.0?

Those Panasonic WJ-HD316 DVR's are awesome, definitely a looks cool factor as well. Being an end-user and seeing one in person for the 1st time at a local store... I was like holy crap, I wish I had one. I wanted to play with it all day long. Even the 'experienced' tech guy had a hard time with it... accessing the individual camera setup 'special' menus anyway.

Doesn't phpbb have a Usergroup feature? If so, add certain users to it, then make the Dealer forum 'private' or hidden to regular users.

It's prob just disabled temporarily. Admin(s) prob making changes. IMO, I would switch phpBB to vBulletin. We did that and would never go back. It is not free, but there are a ton of useful feature in vBulletin compared to the free open source phpBB.

We only get that err when we restart/stop our MySQL server.

I am considering adding a MUX (ie. Panasonic WJ-FS616), then looping out into a DVR (prob PC Based). The MUX multi-screen out will go to a B-channel on a CCTV CRT monitor. I may also record to a VCR from the MUX for extra recording, or simply as a deterrent for any thieves. Is there an A->D conversion done on the looping outputs on the MUX? If so, how much signal would be lost if any between the MUX and DVR? Tx.

Save the IP/URL to Memory (ie. your brain)

Don't think so. Ours did the same... 192.168.1.xxx in the email. I simply bookmarked the Public IP, then logged in as necessary to use Remote Playback.

That pisses me off watching that. I would have loved to have caught him and given him a 'talking to'. Here is another car break in caught on a GEO last Summer.
