    Day/Night Question

Can someone recomend a decent day/night camera, there seems to be a million choices. Perfer mid to high end range. I'm getting slightly confused the more I look. Or what are some of the specs I should be looking for? Also what manafactures should I stay away from? If this last question is somthing I should not ask, I understand.

    Ganz D6039

So my best bet to keep it simple would be to keep what Rory said in mind? "a decent one would have an automatic/mechanical IR Cut Filter for sure, and it would say it does. NOT a digital Day Night - these are normally cheaper in price, and hence not quite as good as a True Day Night. - They can pass for an okay camera for their price, but you arent asking about that" I should stay away from digital D/N cameras?

  13. Im new to the board.I find it very helpful. I will be starting a business soon. I do have a question I am mostly old school meaning Time lapse VCR, Now DVR's seem to be the thing. I do not have much experience with them. I do own a Dedicated Micros, Digital4,160GB new in the box. I am thinking of replacing my time lapse with it. Are any of you familiar with Dedicated Micros and if so is this one a decent DVR? I have had it a couple of years, just never hooked it up. Again what a great site!

Is there a website for the Kalatel units you talked about and would you suggest them or not. You also said that I should wipe/format the hardrive, how do I do that?

    Dedicated Micros

They do not even show the one I have on their website. I gave away my VPON I also never used, now I'm thinking I gave the wrong one away. Do you think the Dedicated Micros is good enough for the home.... it was free?
