Anyone have experience with CaptureCCTV's line of products? their site is at www.capturecctv.com any feedback appreciated thanks
-
Does it support recording in 720x resolution or is that only for display? I think Everfocus does 720, anyone else?

Could I please obtain some info who makes quality 1.2ghz Receivers out there. I bought a few of those chinese ones that you can find on ebay and of course had nothing but problems (I didn't expect anything more) so I gutted the unit and put the electronics into a plastic junction box from home depot, with new connectors etc. Works fine but looks still bad. Are there any out there that actually look good and have maybe better components inside. (I like the ones that look like the transmitters with the fins)

I was wondering if there was a modular to hook up each camera channel onto a tv channel within the house. Cam1 = chan 59 cam 2 = chan 60 etc Thanks
-
they don't . I never said it was a pirated card. It was the real deal by that i mean the whole unit was brought from them
-
I think its the DN4416. Manufacturing date was early 2000. All of the Kodicom PC based ones are winblows. If you goto their site it's all under PC Based DVR
-
No i'm talking about the DN4416

Well I don't have direct experience with them but I had a pub call me to try and fix their unit because it kept on crashing. They have a 16 camera system and was running win98. Not the best OS for this type of thing. So i bought them win2k, changed Power Supply Unit from 200W to 450W and upgraded video card. They mentioned they shipped the unit back a few times but never got it working. It seemed to me the specs were bare requirements for the card way underpowered for what it had to do. Works fine ever since. Hopefully this was an isolated incident as I find Kodicom the best program around for PC DVRs.

Thanks for everyones input. I thought i'd share something I found on the net - if anyone else is looking for a CAR DVR with motion..( that is compact) http://www.defensedevices.com/dvr-mini-flash-sd-memory.html

I noticed a lot of DVR cards have the VIDEO OUT Rca port beside the BNC inputs. Are there any out that can display a QUAD display on the out instead of flipping between channels. Thanks

VIDEO OUT on DVR CARDs
goalie replied to goalie's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
It shows only 1 at a time (switching) not multiple at same time -
The camera can see well enough. We hooked it up to a in-dash Pioneer DVD unit. All thats missing is recording....motion activated recording:)
-
Oops once again my post is too vague. The person I installed the camera for only wants to see whos snooping around at night around the car. He doesn't want to go through 8 hours of tape while the car is parked. I told him he'll have to turn it off manually during the day. Unless there is a mini DVR that can do scheduled motion recording like the big ones.
-
Are there any compact Mobile DVRs that are motion activated? I looked at the RCA Lyra and a few other "worlds smallest" dvrs but none are motion activated. if there is one out there please let me know. (I would prefer one that can record about 2-3 hours of video but smart card ones would do the job too)

This Magic Reader looks ok. The GUI looks almost like the Anykeeper ones

Has anyone come across a security system that sends an intrusion alert over the internet. For example a pre-programmed IP address into the keypad unit. In case the Net is down it should dial via phone?

VIDEO OUT on DVR CARDs
goalie replied to goalie's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
That's actually the card I got. I'm gonna just split the coax and run it into a multiplexer. The yellow monitor port only does 1 channel at a time. I thought there'd be a way to change it -
I was first thinking of using Video motion detection to record intruders in an outdoor (fenced off) area. Lots of false alarms so I thought maybe to incorporate PIRs or something like that. Any recommendations for what I need?
-
Actually, a module to add-on to existing alarm systems would be best. It should send a signal over TCp/IP when the alarm is tripped instead of dialing out to the central monitoring station, or both
-
I'm in Canada or the 51st State. Does optex make the fence sensors too? I noticed they had some photoelectric beams on their site, is that what it is?

Hi I'm trying to build my own Yagi for a 1.2ghz transmitter. How far apart do I have to place the elements does anyone have the math. formula for this? Thanks

Can someone PM what value a used DeltaVision IPM14 has. It's the 14" B/W monitor with camera built in. Can't find anyone selling it online.

Hi Is there a way to "undelete" kodicom software recording or does it overwrite the files ? I need some video of something that happened a day before the earliest i can go back in the software
-
well then iwon't even bother with it. a dead drug dealer isn't worth a few grand haha
-
Well I tried GetDataBack for NTFS with no luck. It's overwriting the data in the same filenames not deleting/creating new files. Oh well. Cops shoulda come earlier
