protecvideo replied to schwazche's topic in Classifieds
don't blame you at all. I've had good luck with pelco on ebay. (maybe because I don't buy from them unles they have a 99.5% rating or higher) Only get the spectra cameras from pelco. All there stationary cameras are prety much crap. i might be able to get someting for you from a guy i've been dealing with there for 3 years. Not one problem and I've spent alot of K's with him. will let you know. -

If anyone is looking for a real nice work-truck I am letting one go for a good price. Fully loaded, leather, bedliner, 20" wheels, etc... This truck has 40K miles and is in ecellent condition. I halled around plenty of wire boxes and CCTV equipment with plenty of room for evrything. Very nice to show up to estimates in this truck. I just bought a new truck giving me 5 vehicles. Thats too many vehicles for me. So if anybody wants to get a good deal send me a PM. Thanks

Thanks for the reply Rory. No my taskbar is unlocked too. This happend on my PC a year ago too. It's been like that ever since. It looks like it gives me the option and the little arrows come up to show me to pull it down but they won't let me. Is that actually an option to hve your toolbar going vertically? Thanks again

Andrew, What settings did you have it on? Sens up- auto Color- auto etc. Or did you leave it on the factory settings?

Is there a way to control Pelco Spectra III cameras using the Geo DVR and the KBD 300a keyboard together. My setup is the Spectra III camera with CATV5 to the KBD kit. Out of the KBD Kit to the KBD 300a controller. Is there a way to set this up to still be able to use my KBD300 and my Geo screen to controll the PTZ if needed? Main reason for this is because owner wants to be able to control his PTZ's remotely too. Thanks guys

Just recently had the same thing happen to me. I was looking at some other websites remoteviewing and I think I downloaded the PAL version. On the main webscreen it gave me selections for about 8 different resolution settings I haden't seen on that load up on the initial screen before. It started to installing it and now when I try to pull up my customers sites it just hangs there at "connect to server". I can log in using the view mode for one or two camera screens but my multiview screen just trys to connect nonestop. Did you visit a PAL geovision site? Tryed uninstalling and and reinstalling but still no luck.

Yeah all my units are realtime display and recording. I will probably send them an email to see what they have it set on. Thanks

I was messing around with Geo's demo site and I downloaded a video clip of a zoomed in shot of one of their hallways. When I played it back on windows media player it played back nice ad smooth in normal speed. When I download video clips off my Geo recorders they always play back real fast. Is there a setting that controls this or what? as always thanks for the help.

Mulitple cameras over fiber
protecvideo replied to protecvideo's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Ok I found out the fibers are being used for a network. Can the cameras be plugged into an Ethernet switch? Thanks -
Mulitple cameras over fiber
protecvideo replied to protecvideo's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
It looks like the fiber is being used for other devices as it is going into some kind of box. I can get that info tomorrow. It will probably be as expensive for this unit as me buying CATV, baluns, and labor. The positive side to that i can trouble shoot it easier. That is a good idea. I hope its not run with high voltage. If this fiber is used with other devices can i still use it? Thanks for your help. -
Thanks again rory.

I have a geo 8 channel with version 8 software. i am trying to save video footage (to desktop) on cam 7 from 1am to 130 am for multiple events. Forgot how to link all the events together into one continous video clip instead of having 9 different video clips. Sure this will be an easy one for a thousand people here on the forum. Thanks I appreciate the help.

Thanks for your input and those links. I might have to find a way to get the camera a little closer to its target. Good luck to me!

Looking for some low light color board cameras for inside a poker table. I have a couple in mind but haven't used too many of these. Anyone have any luck with low light color board cameras? I am assuming about the lowest they would go would be .5 lux. Thanks

(Basic Pant/Tilt) Panning range:0-340 deg Tilting range: 0-90 deg The price they quoted me for the Pan/Tilt Version was unexpectedly very good.

Looking for the "Mini Me" of enclosures...
protecvideo replied to CraigVM62's topic in Security Cameras
Just installed a couple of Pelco EH3508 Series 8" . The mount is EM1450. It's cheaper if you purchase them as a package. Very nice housing. I am sure someone here will give you pricing. Good luck! -
Large campus like area, any ideas?
protecvideo replied to libertysurveillance's topic in System Design
Trenching would be the easiest way to go. We had a company trench a steup very similar to yours. Each camera was approx 1000ft away from the main building where the DVR is located. They left pull string in there and it took only 7 hours to pull CAT-V and power through almost 10,000 ft of underground conduit. Everything was underground with no trace of wires. Out of the groung run EMT up the side of the building or in poles and you're all set. Poles were about $1200 installed to cement foundation. Cost was about 7K for them to dig and place conduit for 1000ft. PM me if you want more specifics on what we did. -
GOLDBEAM DVR CARD
protecvideo replied to Securitymaster's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Heard they were out of business or on there way out. Thier main sales manager took off a couple months ago. He told me the owner was retiring and that business was bad. I can call him if you want. Send me a PM.
