ALL BRITISH POSTERS PLEASE REPORT IN!
DataAve replied to cctv_down_under's topic in General Digital Discussion
No, it's a Brooklyn thing (where I am from-born). But, where is your "boonies." Hell, we used to call Long Island "the boonies" when I lived in Brooklyn. My "boonies are now in PA up on the Delaware River. Heaven on earth up there. -
Where's that Bahamian CCTV king?

For a security booth, no need to spend 2k on a cam. I have a $150 Sam w/ a filter(cuts the light coming in from background) in a $200 Pelco Housing. Have one installed coming in and going out. They get the plate every time.

This crap they do will only make us stronger. They can't defeat our FREEDOM. Godspeed UK. -
We just ordered 75 for one job (replacements/new) and 45 (new install-another job) of these Cameras. We put in 6 in a test site. They are 12/24 DC/AC (choice onboard). We use mostly 24V AC for commercial apps. Very nice camera. Gantz called us into their NY Office and asked our opinions. The only drawback to this cam is that it has a DC Lens so the Line Phase and the Iris adjustment only pertains to the DC operation. We suggested to change these features (Line Phase and the Iris adjustment) to accommodate AC. So, it looks like they will head that way. This is defiantly a camera to look at when you have dome installs-and I am not a strong proponent of Ganz. Here are the specs. http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/ganz/cams/domeCams/DomePDF/Cam_ZC_D6000.pdf

I know, I know, you count the money, but you have the biggest headache of them all. Albeit, the biggest headache, but the biggest payoff.

Have a happy 4th.

Installation along city streets and highways

It is good because if you get contract after contract, that is a large steady flow of income. It also gets you into the right circles (politically). Like herm says, looks good on paper too. -
I just installed the APC. The electricians did the rest. Me, I can install Panels, sub-panels and switches/outlets. I stay away from the big juice. I have pics somewhere in my portfolio, I will dig them up some day.
-
Pretty cool stuff. One APC with battery slide-ins all controled via software and dedicated electric outlets all over site.
-
I have no experience with Tripp Lite. I have only used APC and they were delivered by Truck and forklift. Takes a couple of days to assemble. They even show up onsight to make sure all is well.

Did a CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care) past couple of days. Cams in the CICU and they were wheeling patients in as soon as I finished room. Muxes, no DVR's tho.
