All do respect, for what you get in the DM, it is totally over priced. Much better selection out there than those cartoon-like (I believe they are manufactured at Disney World) Dedicated Micros. A major beverage place insist we use these and we were giving the techs over at DM, tech support. I would take a Kalatel over DM any day and save the client $$$$...some anyway.

May I suggest a Panasonic with the expansion unit. We use these and have yet to have a complaint on them. We buy them direct, but for the price you mention, you are well in his budget with this unit. Support is pretty good. These are very nice functioning (some say too many options) and very attractive (most customers like when something is "pertty"). You can also log in to program and back up the settings, because once the customer screws with the settings (and he/she will), you can back it up almost instantly. This saves so many hours of programming when the client has multiple recorders with muliple settings. http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelList?storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&catGroupId=14463

Is the board running real slooooow lately? Everywhere I log in, it takes a real long time to load page.

...or the way scottj suggested. Here is exactly how to do it as above mentioned: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/13

Go to Run or Command Prompt (type "cmd" in start, run) and type in "control userpasswords2". Highlight the user that will bypass logon and uncheck the Users must enter a password, click apply. When the dialog box opens just click ok and exit.

...I am sure rory wouldn't mind donations either!

You have to be careful of addresses that are down on Canal. They are fly-by-nights (some) and a dime a dozen. I can get good deals down there, I am down that way on a daily basis. I get all my seafood down there, freshest around and some pretty big prawns. P.S. Most of those sites are just templates (nothing wrong with that) which anyone can buy and customize to your needs.

I know BBs and something is up with the speed of this board. It's not my connection (like T1), because I also logged in at a few clients site. I am not complaining, just looking out.

Not bad at all rory. You tweak the software, or theirs? -
Vicon is the worst company in the world to deal with. Their equipment are in alot of the USPS mail distribution centers we do. They make junk, garbage and they will rip the gold out of your mouth. They owe a friend of mine a large sum of money, 6 figures. There are so many more viable options out there, good luck in trying to talk them out of it.
