They are supposed to be pretty good DVR's. Buy why spend that kind of money on such a low profile company with overpriced toys.

But standalone feel. Nothing pc looking about the 4000 and 8000 models.

cctvfan, I heard these were good. -
I saw them elsewhere...let me dig it up.
-
...and get in writting to "CYA". This way, whomever made that decision to cut costs (by installing a smaller HD) gets the "guff".
-
Same here, you need to dole out more $$. They say it is due to spam. I say, horse hockey...they just want to get their hands into the other pocket.
-
Works just like cable. My cable here is like a T1 line here. Faster than lightning...up and down. Only thing that sux is that they block incomming port 80 and now SMTP (they make you use their servers for email-even if you have websites)

The only TRUE way to destroy info on a hard drive is to shred it (yes, there are hard drive shredders) then tossing it in the ocean.
-
In the PPPoE info, just set user and pw (in router) and it will stay connected with multiple machines (as long as you distribute internal IP's).

Not true. I can, and have. The only thing that can stop me from getting it is a D.O.D. erase...and even then, I can get bits (and so can the FBI).

ADI out here...well, you see that rock over there, have a conversation with it and see if it responds. Just wish there were someone else to put them in their place. P.S. don't ever mention that 4 letter word to them....WORK!

That is it, you get a cookie

We have high end customers and they buy Panasonic$ and we have cheap high end customers and they use Sanyo.
-
anything Just did one for a slimey salesman that was selling our jobs to another company. nice guy, huh?
-
DSR-3016H Ugly as hell, but a work horse and simple setup. Manual is User Friendly for the customers. We only install 16 channel.
-
Sanyo is a nice DVR. Install more of these than GE/Kalatel. They are a good solid unit. The Javascript refreshing seems to drive customers nutz tho.
-
I can get it easily. Forensic Software.

Is this board strictly for DEALERS? Why can't common folk discuss pricing. You DEALERS and DISTRIBUTORS have your own LOCKED THREAD where YOU discuss pricing...to see if you are getting ripped off-find better pricing. Apparently, the rest of us are allowed to get ripped off by dealers/distributors. I thought this was a forum of PUBLIC viewing where pros and non-pros can discuss CCTV-which includes one of the most important factors, PRICE! Not just the PRICE of DVR's, the pricing of jobs, cameras, installer pricing?

ADI customer service sux.

Nice looking unit anyway, looks like some nice features...but 3 G's for an unknown?
-
Very handsome unit. Any try one of these? They look like more for a home user... but those prices? Anyone know who makes these? http://www.promaxusa.com/digital_video_recorder_1600.php
