I believe Siecor makes an armored, single and multistrand fiber that has military specs. -
More to choose from. Fiber Options/GE or SIECOR. All good products.

Video Splitter for (2) cameras
DataAve replied to MetzLyov's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Let me understand this correctly, MetzLyov, you want 2 cam signals on the in side to split on the outside, so you can view the 2 shots on one monitor? The unit you posted looks like just a PiP device? -

But if the Tx and Rx are I.R. Laser, they can be broken-an animal blocking the I.R. or foul weather or trees or even a thief? -
what is your method of installing
DataAve replied to jisaac's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
It really does depend on the Client's needs. Most times, we just run the wires first (to location plus 10 feet). We then put in devices. The Client almost always changes his/her mind. Some want certain areas covered first, so we install in segments first-just to get them up and going. Most of the programming, I do in the office, but you can't possibly cover it all. It's nice to have separate crews, one running wires, while the other sets up the head end (racks, servers, fiber, power, battery backup...etc.) -

If you must utilize the tower, your best bet would be fiber, as Rory said. It would not interfere with signals and signals would not interfere with glass. I have run fiber in this manner. It had to be fiber due to the nearby LaGuardia airport. I used microwave doppler's to trigger motion. -

This might sound stupid, because I haven't seen the site layout (terrain might go up and over a mountain), but why don't you put the cam on the building you are referring to. Extend it over the building. You said it was only 600 feet away. -
Just picked up a GE DVMRE-16CT-600A. This a good model? I wanted to see if it is all that.

Got it and works like a charm.

How can I test NightSense? Don't say turn off lights. What I mean is, can I see the chip or look on the board to see the NS Technology.
-
These have the NightSense. They also have a sticker on side stating 540TVL.

Geo's software runs like they run it's company. It's donglicious

I will see if I can get my hands on it to play, but I hate video editing...there is a knack to it.

These puppies will look nice around the house. I have hooked up to a spot monitor to test and are pretty nice. MetzLyov, how is the view at night?
