How do you rate the 557HIM in performance?

It gets me how some of the cameras mounted in clear view,criminals still don't see them because their sooo focused on the crime their trying to commit.I looked at the Eclipse ECL-557HIM at one point,but then i read that the Eclipse dome cameras aren't that good on top of ir domes of that style not being good.I do like the low profile look of it though.

Yeah the Rayled lights are just outta the budget..

The camera should have a bnc and power connector probably tucked away.You need to find those and unplug them so that you can change the camera.Do you have any pics of the cam?

Do you have the model of that 35W led fixture?I can't wait till more motion light security fixtures hit the market..

Or you can just use a all in motion motion light fixture.

Those extreme ir's a great..I just can't fork up the 4-plus for my own testing for em unless i can really pass the cost onto the customer.Right now customers wallets are tight due to several factors.I'm trying to upgrade customers cameras since they skimmed on the initial cams.

When you get a chance,post some day/night pics.

It will work as long as the camera doesn't have IR.You'll want a True day/night camera with varifocal lense.

If H.264 is so much better than mpeg4,than why are professional companies still trying to push mpeg4,if we know that the customer will be happy more than happy with H.264?

I have a potential customer that wants their dvr and monitor in their bedroom.Have any of you done an install to where you mounted the lockbox w/dvr and power supply on the wall in their bedroom,or did you convince them to let you mount it out of site totally and just run your external ir and video feeds out to the t.v.'s?

I was thinking lockbox so that if someone to breaks in,they can't steal the entire dvr.

I looked at those Altronix isolated power supplies and i only saw them in 24V applications.

So what are the best standalone H.264 dvrs' that you guys have seen with your own eyes,as far as playing back recorded footage?

Just saw their stuff online,was wondering if anyone had any dealing with them?

Thanks Scorpion for better explaining things.Main reason why i ask is because like you said,many companies are screaming H.264 while others are sticking with Mpeg4.Guess if they can get great quality out of mpeg4 than that would make sense to stick with it.I need to look into those AVTech mpeg4 dvr's.
