    POS integration

Anybody here doing POS integration projects? I know of a cheap and very effective solution of integrating any POS equipment/ application. I can give the sample codes and demos for those interested. PM me for details.

    POS integration

The solution is via TCP/IP and uses i/o port capture without the extra hardware. Any issues in installing such software on the POS client side?

There is one dealer in the US I know. It's www.kcusa.com.
  7. www.inox.com.my or google search One Touch systems if you are in the Philippines
  8. I stumbled across this site. Linux OS vs Windows OS, which is better for DVRs? Your comments would be most welcome. Thank you
  9. Hi! Thank you... Hope you can also put some links
  10. Please put in your known links of sample remote views from different companies. Would be a good point of comparison. Am starting off with a few links that I know: http://www.rapidos.com.tw/htm/livedemo.htm http://205.210.53.103/webview/default.htm (username: guest/ password: guest)
  11. Agree with dnieweg..... but the misconception lies from common experiences with Windows (see attachment ,more users, ergo more chances of having issues including our good friend), true, manufacturers should market hardenned systems. How about cost?
  12. I know of a 16 channel full d1 system. Don't know about megapixel support though

    Mini DVRs

Anybody have some information on mini DVRs? As in spy video recorders housed in a small case (e.g. ballpens). If you are interested, your comments would be most appreciated. Video and audio quality of a sample I got is ok, my problem is very limited application.

    Mini DVRs

Hi Scorpion, You could probably google who sells the stuff. I noticed I've been getting several inquiries already but as I said am not selling the stuff. Will ask the supplier that sent me a sample to contact you. Now I got a new one, ball DVRs. Again, this is getting to be more and more like a toy. Will post the pic as soon as I get a sample.

    Mini DVRs

Yes, actually that is my point. I can't find a practical application except as a toy Somebody sold me a sample before and I was thinking what other applications can it be used for. I could be wrong though.....
  16. There are several threads in this forum which can match your requirement. http://www.cctvforum.com/post-82998.html With your ip cameras, there are hybrid dvr cards or NVRs as well. You may find these sites helpful: http://security-made-easy.blogspot.com/ (See the July 10 post) www.bluecherry.net www.cctvsentry.com www.kcusa.com

    Hello

Hi, thank you to the board admin for letting me join this forum. Very informative and relevant
  18. I know of several good Linux DVR brands out there in the market. Where are you from? I may be able to refer you to a local supplier of any brand.
  19. Yes indeed, there is a big difference, resolution, video quality, frame rate, storage are just some things that differ between cheap and premium cards. Example, a cheap card can only record at lower frame rates, made even worse by adding more cameras. A real time frame rate of 60 fps will be divided among the number of cameras for a multi camera setup, whereas it can be easily handled by pricey but more powerful dvr cards.

    DVR in car?

There are several mobile DVRs available out there. There are also PC104 DVR kits which you can use to build these.
  21. I would like to ask what type of camera can be used for low temperature environment (inside freezer, etc)?

    ever had a dvr stolen?

You can probably use a wall mounted DVR. I've seen a few good ones out there, ranging from small ones (about a4 size, to a full tower wall mount case)
  23. I thought this was a thread on security system with a built-in fortune teller or psychic. Seriously, facial recognition is still a tough challenge as I think it can be easily spoofed through the use of disguises.
