    Camera test not going well

Well after tearing my hair out for a couple of hours I thought I had better test the video lead and it appears that had a short causing the problem. Thanks for you suggestion though.

    Camera test not going well

Yes put the 12v power supply on it. I have two of the cameras and two power supplies and tried all different combinations so I am guessing there is something else that is causing the issue. That was why I wondered about the output being compatible. The CCTV camera is the LG (in case that helps). Appreciate your thoughts.
  3. I wonder if anyone can help - I am trying to set up a CCTV monitoring system with two cameras: from a company called [mod edit no store links]. Its the £39.99 offer. Sorry as this is first post I cannot put the link in so hopefully you can work out which one. I thought I would test these tonight and plugged them into my LCD (using the yellow video cable) I am just getting a black screen with white bands and pixels appearing (similar to the old days of analogue when you were tuning something in but with more black and less white). Should I get a picture or do I need something else to convert the signal to appear on the TV. I am getting a USB device to put this into the computer to enable me to record the images but think I may have bitten off more than I can chew!! Any help greatly appreciated.
