  1. Late reply, but HyperV dosnt support PCI pass-through, so capture cards are useless in a virtualised enviroment. Go for a full IP route and use network video servers instead. This will make it painless to setup in a virtual system.
  2. Hi, This might sound stupid but I'm really stuck so here goes, I've aquired a Vivotek IP7138 that was used before (I have no information on the IP subnet it was setup on). When plugged into a router, it just fails to request a lease and all the LED's seem to have been disabled so I'm assuming it was just setup with a static IP. So I tried restoring the defaults as per the manual which suggests: Now since the LED's where disabled I cant really tell when the self-diagnostic is running, so I've tried a combintion of holding it for 10, 20 and 30 seconds, and even on and after power ups, but It's just failing to go back to factory defaults! So, does anyone know how long for it should be poked, and if it should be held before or after powerup? Any help would be appreciated!!

    Kodicom 880

You can try Diginet 5.1 / 5.2, they are ok. Go1984 is also ok - but a huge system hog. LuxRiot is probebly the best alternative, but I am having teething issues with it at the moment with this card
  4. Hi, Please see the attachment for the problem... I am trying it under LuxRiot (demo) with BTWincap drivers. The DVR card is a generic el-cheapo one. Still images are fine, but in moving objects, there is some kind of disturbance. This is appaering when using 720x576 res. If I set it to default, the lines disappaer but the resolution is too small - 320x240 and things are barley visible. If I use DigiNet 4, this is fine and there is no such problem...It's only when trying LuxRiot using the generic BTWincap drivers. I really want to upgrade to LuxRiot because its much better - but it's not worth upgrading if I cannot sort this issue first
  5. I think it's a fault in the DigiNet Client on v4.1. I had a similar issue. I've got DigiNet Server 4.1 running on 3 box's, but all being monitered through DigiNet 5.1 client's and so far we've had no problems. Of course, by doing this you might aswel upgrade the servers to 5.1 too (Which I plan to soon )

    cctv problem help please

Wow, thank you! Having just bought some cameras and cheap PSU's, I was having flicker and line issues of all sorts. If i used shorter cable, it slightly made it better. I had no idea it would be a power issue. I have just tried a better quality PSU thats used in my VPN router and all lines are gone !
