Only with the GV-DSP Rory, not the combo DSP feature. Scottj -
Geovision 1240 DSP Not Working Properly
scottj replied to Automated Surveillance's topic in Geovision
If you have Hyper Threading enabled, try disabling it and see if you get video. Sounds strange, but trust me there is documentation to support known issues. Also, what version of Geo are you running, 7.0, 7.02, or 7.04? PM me if you need the latest version and I will send you a link to the full version, not the upgrade. Scottj -
Hey guys, I will warn you before Rory or Larry does, pricing needs to be taken into PM, private email, or the Dealer section if it applies. Just a friendly reminder to all. Scottj

Yes there are, Pelco doesn't make their PTZ's, they OEM the products. However, the Spectra series is a nice camera line, but a little pricey depending on the application. A government spec here in the US sometimes calls for an approved manufacturer such as Pelco, Kaltel, Ademco etc, so they do have their place in the market. Scottj

sure, the Geo has nothing to do with your network structure, the box itself does with Windows. You just assign one NIC for the Geo to use for WAN/LAN remote applications. Scottj

Geovision 1240 DSP Not Working Properly

What is your resolution set to, did you go to www.ati.com and download the latest drivers for Radeon? Do not use what is on the CD, outdated. Also, what type of camera are you using? Scottj -
If you want to test a 440 or a 410 unit over IP, send me an email address in PM and we can talk offline about this. I can set one up for you in the office and give you access using iNVR Client as well as web browser viewing. I can even help you configure the Pocket PC. Scottj

You will be well within your budget. If you would like to discuss in more detail I can make a recommendation for you offline out of the forum. We try not to post pricing and business matters on here as it is a rule for the forum. Either way you go, the Video Insight product is a solid option. We do not use it personally, but I will give credit where credit is due to a product that I would trust and use if needed. I have other options for you, but I would like to know in detail what features and functions will best fit your needs. No need to pay for options you will never use. Scottj

no problem, you should have a nice looking system using those components. Scottj

4.0 watts is the specification using 12VDC. Figure roughly .330A current. Scottj

Icantek vs. Brans (3R) 4CH video server
scottj replied to loop's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Contact Oscar Yoon at Icantek, he is the best to deal with. Loop, contact me directly and we can discuss the IcanTek products, we have used many of the 440 and 440R models, in addition to the 110 cameras (IP). I may be able to help put a demo in your hands so you can baseline the units. Scottj -
need a good wireless system for mobile application

Police tactical departments use these frequently, if I can find a few links I will post them in this thread for you. They primarily use these for narcotics monitoring, and during events through the holidays. Scottj -
Post the actual camera specifications, or post a link where we can review it. I would be more concerned on knowing what cameras these are exactly (IR, etc). That is a good power supply unit by the way, very stable. Scottj

I think you meant to say 240 FPS (8 channels X 30 FPS = 240 FPS), not 320. Obviously you want higher resolutions, increased frame rate for streaming playback with minimal latency it sounds. As I do agree with VST Man regarding the CPU resources, but those items are low cost when you look at the big picture. Think about what features and functions you deem to be most critical and we can all make recommendations for you to look into. ScottJ

Not sure what card I got!
scottj replied to samsonn's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
It is a counterfeit Kodicom board, similair to what you find on Ebay. It will work with those versions of DigiNet, but you will not be able to use the later versions. The chinese will clone and copy anything so it should not come as a surprise. If you stand on a street corner long enough in Shanghai, they will even attempt to clone you and you will find yourself as some doll they produce in the sweat shops there.. Scottj -
Not true about the dongles, depends on the board itself versus the version of software. The newer boards do not require the dongle to run V.7.0 through V.7.04. Even with 7.1 Beta. The GV-900 is the only model that will always require a dongle since it will be discontinued and is not the newer anti-piracy version. Another thing is when using the Hybrid card, the ATI 9250 won't cut it since it does not support DirectX 9.0. The only ATI versions that support DX9.0 are the 9550 (some), but primarily the 9600+ models. Scottj

Angel, shoot me your email and I will send you some PDF files you can reference for connectivity etc. Scottj
-
Angel, try not connecting the B/W cameras to the Hybrid card, only use the color and IR. Let me know the results. I am thinking the B/W cams are causing the issue. Scottj
-
Jasper, Is it possible for you to put VNC on there for me to access your machine? Also I know you are trying the CenterV2 out as you mentioned before. If you like, I have a demo online that you can connect to using CenterV2 and test it remotely storing the video back to your location. Contact me if you want to give it a go. Scottj
-
Are you using Line Lock cameras connected to the Hybrid card? If so, this will cause a system hang. Scottj
-
Jasper, what is the problem you are having with the RPB feature? Maybe I can be of some assistance to you.
-
Hermin, What happened to your website? I notice it has some strange message appearing on it now using the shscomputers link. Scottj
-
That is a great video card for the boards you are using Angel, still freezing though? Have yout tried removing the Hybrid board and then booting up? If not, try this first before swapping out any additional components. Scottj
-
The mainboard should not be the issue. I would imagine that it is a Intel Chipset? If you have the exact mainboard model number, I can tell you what is causing the hangup. Also, if the mainboard has onboard video, you MUST disable it in the BIOS when using the Hybrid Card. Scottj
