Access Control for the supply room would be a great idea. And toss a single camera in there for peace of mind. Scottj

you need to rollback your audio driver to the Windows XP version, not the C-Media or whatever one it is. Scottj -

Combo Cards Quality of live videos
scottj replied to jzipf's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Download the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI, verify that you have .NET Framework updated to the latest version (Windows Updates), in the Catalyst COntrol Center go to Advanced settings. Check to verify that De-Interlacing (not "Weave") is enabled or set to Automatic (recommended). Reboot the machine...case closed Scottj -

what version of software are you using? Have you tried to manually install the drivers by using the Device Manager in XP? Scottj -
HELP.Cant find Key Pro Card Set Up Fail
scottj replied to paowens76's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Insert the software CD and run the Driver Install utility, or perform it manually by using Device Manager and updating the drivers for the GV hardware from the list. My question now is when exactly did you get this message? Was the system running fine before and after a reboot this error message was displayed? Scottj -

Ok, easy enough here: Manually stop the monitoring (recording), stop the network servers, then go to the System Configurations button and click on "Camer/Audio Install" option. Click on the "Activate" button and you will notice a dropdown of all the available camera channels. Uncheck cameras 7 and 8. Click OK and then activate the recording and network servers (if applicable) and you are all done. If Camera 1 is having a problem, this will need to be addressed by checking to make sure the camera is A.) Not defective, or B.) Poor connectivity between the camera and DVR (check the BNC's, probably twist ons). Should take care of your problem. Scottj

I stopped producing after my PDL hearing (Payment During Litigation) about 8 years ago. Once I calculated the 21 year payment plan I was tempted to take an Xacto knife and do the job myself.... Scottj

Sure Jasper I know all about the Bermuda Triangle; it's the place that looks interesting and spurs the curiosity but things wind up disappearing eventually.......sort of like my ex-wife and one of my houses Scottj

It's cold here with snow on the ground (sort of). I certainly do not need a camera to tell me that I will be freezing my boys off tomorrow morning on the way to work. Scottj

It can be done. You need a temperature indicator that uses ASCII text output then you can capture the text data and overlay it into the video, similiar to the Kalatel Cyberdomes with the keyboard controller. Scottj

The Hybrid card from Geo is a little overrated. It is nowhere near "DVD" quality of video as it has been advertised to deliver. Scottj

Take it to the police and let them use one of their video enhancement machines such as AVID. Scottj

NEED ADVISE ASAP----10 PTZ/3000 Ft Distance
scottj replied to kandcorp's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
We have used Nitek equipment (Active Video Balun w/Data) and their UTPLink recievers for controlling PTZ's over Cat5e with no problems at all. Most of the distances were around 2000'-2300' feet max, but I believe Nitek has different module receivers that will accomodate the 3000' need. Scottj http://www.nitek.net/multi_channel/VH1656.htm -
