I think I have solved my problem I removed all the previous drivers and installed the v8.3 again this time it said upgrading hardware from 1.42 to 1.55 rebooted and now it has been running for 2 hours Sorry just noticed Tracker I am using a GV-1240 D type 16.
-
I downloaded 8.3 from Geovision they gave me the link after verifying my details, I installed it ran for about an hour then said my card may be counterfeit and duly shut down No way is this a dodgy card it has been running since 2007 on 8.1.2.0 and 8.2! I restarted the software and it has now been running for over an hour! I have reported the fault to Geovision it will be interesting to see what they say? It happened again so back to 8.2 until I get some info from Geovision

Back again !! I have bought a JVC TK-C1480BE which has RS485 set up inc digital zoom, is there anyway I can run the camera through the Geo software? there is a setup program I down loaded! if I am using Com3 for my GV-Net card I have no serial port on this new Intel board other wise I could use Com1 loads of USB's! is the answer to get another Gv-Net card? if I cant run it on the present setup Thanks, John.

Hi James thanks for the reply I did try Geovision but they just came back with a list the card will support not very helpful. The only solution I could think of was another GV-Net card and use Com1 or anyother apart from the one I am already using! then run the JVC software on it's own? Thanks, John.

No problem rory you learn one way or another I just appreciate the help and advice! John.

I tried again removing the software and folder plus the driver, re-installed the software and once again it came back with the old configurations. So I removed all again and went a bit deaper and there is a lot of files left in the windows folder I deleated them and reloaded the software and all is now well including DSP! Thanks to all for their help John.
-
Ok I uninstalled the software removed all I could find with RegCleaner reloaded the software it wasn't a clean install as the previous settings were reloaded password, cameras etc has this to be a total wipe of the Harddrive or is there information stored I can remove? Thanks, John.

I am getting a bit confused the only reference to DSP I can find is when the Geo software is loading in the square box it says "Detecting DSP" then it disappears! where is Spot Monitor? as far a software goes rory I am running 8.12 and the card is legit and I have the latest DirectX 9 installed! "lost" Thanks, John.

I got and understood all that Rory I will try a seperate Graphics card the on board is not bad but it uses the on board memory. The Iiyama is my PC monitor the cameras I am using are WV-CP484E and the results are good day and night I have a couple of dark spots which I will fill in with IR later. Thanks, John.

Rory or ? a similar question I get a realy sharp picture on a video monitor but when I view the same scene with the Geovision software it looks slighty defused/not as sharp! I am using a Iiyama 21" Pro 512 CRT monitor, the graphics is on board Intel G965 125mb the card is a GV-1240, is there normaly some degrogation? Do I need a better Graphics card? Thanks, John.

Hi all I got the Chinese Dome PTZ board talking to the Geovision software ok but what is the correct way to set up a zoom lens with a Panasonic WV-CP484E, I can get the lens to focus ok but I have to set up the ABF manualy is this correct? if I go auto ABF there is no way I can focus the lens! is there a correct procedure? Thanks, John.
-
Got a good result thanks to all for the help, John.
-
I will try all methods to see what works best but do I need to turn the lens sens to max? The Chinese PTZ board seems to work fine Rory I have a few spare switching functions! 4 relay and an Iris one must be able to do something with one of those?? Thanks, John.
-
Hi welding glass I have so that is good to open the iris fully do I turn the level pot to high? thanks, John.
-
Well Drunk or not I will give it a try thanks for the help, if in the sober light of day you can read your post and add anthing it will be appreciated John.
-
The answer is using the common connection on the control board join 5 and 4 together use 2 to the focus connection and 5 to the zoom the rest are not used unless you are using feedback to a telemetry monitoring system

I am trying to work out the wiring on a H6ZBME-5P Cosmicar/Pentax lens they are as follows:- 2 White---- 2 and 5 loosely shown linked like this [ 5 Blue ---- + 12v Near 4 Green ---- 4 and 6 loosely shown linked like this [ 6 Red ---- + 12v Tele 7 Orange ---- Pot Supply 8 Grey---- Pot Return 3 Sky Blue ----Wiper Focus 1 Pink ---- Wiper Zoom So I am assuming 2,5,4,6 and 7 are all 12v +ve and 8 is -ve Pins 3 and 1 go to the respective outputs from the control board It's a bit confusing if the above is correct why did they not connect 2,5,4,6 and 7 internally! or am I reading it incorrectly? Thanks, John.
