Like to have my techs able to adjust IP cameras at the camera instead of using a PC. Anyone have a monitor that does this?

you will want to make sure the DVR’s firmware is up to date. Also, you will want to run the 4-3-3 4-3-3 command (reboot the DVR, when you hear the 4 beeps, hit 4-3-3, 4-3-3. DVR will shut down. Start it back up)

Need help with an Axis system near Chicago
ccsystems posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Here is my dilemma; I am new to IP based systems. I was able to land a nice low voltage installation that has a small Axis system 5 camera system. I hired a certified Axis integrator to do all of the programming and setup/training. I pulled the cable and mounted the cameras. It has been nothing short of a nightmare working with this guy. Long story short. I am looking for an Axis integrator in the Chicago land area to work with me on the balance of this project. Here is the layout 4 – Avis 215PTZE 1 – Axis P33 series Dell server HP switch. All of the above seem to work correctly. He was out today and installed the server and switch. I have images on the monitor at the server. The customer wants these cameras on a separate network and purchased client computers with 2 Nic cards. I have a seperate cable from the switch to each of these (2) computers. According to the integrator, this can not be done. True??? -

I bought 2 at an FDIC auction. Look like a nice unit. Compatible with a wide variety of IP cameras as well as analog. The were suposse to have the hard drive removed but there are 2 - 500 gig hd's present.

Mobotix--- any others?
ccsystems replied to ccsystems's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I guess I should have been a little clearer. I like the idea of accessing the storage on the camera rather that a DVR. I have a bandwidth issue with one of my clients. The camera/NAS storage could hold the images on site and then downloaded when there is less network traffic. -

Have been using the MxCC software. Had a lot of trouble with it crashing. Finished the basic course last month and I am very impressed with the equipment. I would like some options of internal storage at a better price point. -

Well, I am really impressed with the Mobotix cameras. I am not a fan of the software. The concept of internal storage and recording locally to NAS fit’s an application I have. -
Did a conversion to color cameras. Anyone have a use for these? Have a dozen or so. Thanks
