How to outdoor mount a DS-2CD2032-I?

The blank cover has a knock out, the underside of the outlet has a 3/4 inch threaded hole that the fitting screws into. I'll post a pic in a sec... Yes on the SS screw, lock washer and nuts. The plate was drilled for the 2032 mount after cutting out the knockout.

  3. Some how or another I have email alerts back but have lost Traversing Virtual Plane Detection. It also keeps robbing my OSD custom color settings. FML...

On soffits the 3/4 plug works well to help secure the unit and protect your cables. /takes a 1 inch hole
  5. Looks like the Chinese handle the manufacturing and the Russians the programming.

    iVMS-5200?

It's not publicly available. Вы говорите по-русски? http://www.hikvision.msk.ru/forum/11-1216-1
  7. Anyone know how to test for this? A little OT, is it my imagination (or ignorance) but do I see a newer version of IVMS-4200 PCNVR (EN_IVMS-4200_PCNVR_v1.03.06.02) on the Russian site than what's up at the US site? 10. I know, right? It's like a trojan that takes over.
  11. 2 more notes of interest. CBX: "Email alerts are handled by the camera control binary davinci (which does pretty much everything)." viewtopic.php?p=241216#p241216 aussiephil" "...it's a issue with the Firmware not including a DATE Header in the email and my default SMTPD config checking for basic headers Error Message in log file 2014-01-30 23:53:02.504585500 22441 552 Mail with no Date header not accepted here." viewtopic.php?p=240387#p240387 I suggest uninstalling IVMS-4200 v2 & trying IVMS-4200 PCNVR v1.03
  12. Note: I did uninstall IVMS-4200 v2 and installed IVMS PCNVR. I suspect this is what's controlling the alerts. As inconsistent and troublesome as the Hikvision software interfaces are I would have trouble recommending Hikvision if it weren't for their killer cameras. People may want to avoid Hikvision NVRs until (if?) they work some of the bugs out.
  13. Any links to info on this? It started working though test buttons still fail. where's the "pulling my graying hair out" emoticon? FWIW I'm reading a post that claims you might want to use your ISP's mail. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=34524
  14. I have no idea why it sends email alerts or doesn't. As previously noted, I see blocked packets in my firewall log from the cameras to the .254 subnet which is no longer used. 06:10:07.524300 LAN 192.168.1.12 192.168.254.1 UDP 07:42:15.792539 LAN 192.168.1.12, port 8000 192.168.254.1, port 55709 TCP
  15. All was working again (I have no idea why) until yesterday afternoon. I did something with IVMS-4200 and she went udders vertical again. I can't seem to grasp which interface is in charge of this system. All email settings are the same & haven't changed in either the camera's set up or in IVMS-4200. I am seeing blocked packets from the camera's to what looks like the NVR's POE subnetwork 192.168.254.1 even though the NVR has been manually set to 192.168.1.10. Still looking....
  16. FWIW, I'm hearing rumors of a pending 2.2 firmware release.
  17. I was thinking ROI on the LPR and facial recognition, not with my "wish I had" 2.8mm lens. Sorry for any confusion.
  18. This is seriously cool. " title="Applause" /> I'd like to find a 2.8mm lens for one of my 2032's. Question, will ROI enhance/help this (or facial recognition)?

  22. I've got the "Try Something New" fever. This is a new in box DS-2CD2032-I, ordered (1 of 5) from China. It was removed only to apply the CBX English Region Patch*, updated to the latest release of US firmware (V5.1.6 build 140612) and testing. It will now update seamlessly with US firmware releases. * viewtopic.php?f=19&t=41225 Key Features • 3 megapixel high resolution • Low illumination • 3D DNR & DWDR & BLC • IP66 rating • IR range: up to 30m • True day / night Overview & Specifications: http://www.hikvision.com/en/products.asp?cid=10 Datasheet of DS-2CD2032-I http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/image/2014032411182797053.pdf User manual of DS-2CD2032-I: http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/image/2013061411054615328.pdf Hikvision DS-2CD2032 3MP IR Bullet Review http://www.networkcameracritic.com/?p=1791 SWANN HD-820CAM (Hikvision DS-2CD2032) 1080P IR Bullet http://www.networkcameracritic.com/?p=1444 $105.00 + cost of shipping of your choice.
