I have a application that will require 2 cameras on a fuel island Distance to building approx 150 feet clear line of site I have 110 avalaible on fuel island what is a good wireless solution I would like to use probably a bosch or ge weather proof dome and have it tied to a good wireless link.

Look for some active baluns rated for Cat 3. maybe if they have data this might be the place for an IP camera

Last Fri my business partner was followed home and held up at knife point right in his garage. They got about 200 and his wife got pushed down and slightly injured. He did manage to get his shotgun and fired off a shot. They were so shook up they forgot they have a camera on the driveway. They got some good video and they also have the guy on camera at the gas station he followed them from. I hope they get him I think my partner was right not to try and shoot him as he would have had to live with the outcome for the rest of his life. He just wishes he had thought to shoot out a tire. We are all just gratefull that he and his wife are all right.

Well they sentenced the guy that did the hold up he got 6and a half to fifteen. so hopefully he will serve at least 4

If you want to go further than 25 feet get a small vga amp 1 in 2 out in from the computer out to local monitor and one out to remote monitor up to 250 ft

I have a geo 1480 with 16 channels audio customer complained about losing 8 min of recording of activity it seemed that it has worked since and before and all other cameras were/are working. Plenty of harddrive space. Only happened as far as we can tell on one camera Any ideas

I saw them in vegas and I think VSSCCTV has them also. Are we talking liability issues? What if I live/work in a nearby apt etc and it impacts my job/life? You are installing an active device designed to annoy a certain group of people???

we were back at the customer site and they said that there was motion as this is a classroom and it had kids in it at the time. THe video clips also show a solid blue start playing drop a min or so again showing the blue background. apparently is happening on multiple cameras also.

i am going to be running a PTZ camera that will mainly pan a playground area but would like the motion as it will probably be left in fixed mode in the evening to watch a driveway. I can run a seperate keyboard controller or if the dvr has controll capability that is fine also.

I have a vitek daynight camera with 30 leds that is showing black as green This is happening during the day Could it be the leds are on or is this just a bad camera picture looks ok and other colors are fine.

I have had good luck with the everfocus except the ED-300 possibily the worst camera ever. Worked great when installed started failing in about 6 month and still replacing them. Factory has been good about repair etc but the customers are not happy. Strange some will work just fine at our shop but not out on jobsite. THese have failed in multiple locations.

have had the same problem if possible show them how to save it as and exe file and the problem will go away. This issue seems to show up more on a win 98 machine.

I think it is NVT that has a wole array of adaptors for fiber allowing you to run multiple cameras on one fiber and send control info also. You can problably use that type of equipment and get by with 12 or 24 strand always run extra strands as Someone always has use for it. We are running almost exclusivly single mode these days as the next big deal is giga or 10 gig speed and multi mode is more limited on the length you can run and achieve the higher data rates. Not really a big deal for what you are sending over but somone will want the extra strands, phone, data, video conference etc. Have you looked into leasing fiber from the phone co? sometimes they have dark pairs and are willing to give you a pretty good deal.

The police caught the guy who robbed my partner. He was a local as suspected. He got stopped in a neighboring town for driving with a broken windshield so he was driving around with his head out of the window at night when we were having a late season blizzard temp was about 10 degrees F. wearing the same clothes as in the video. Arrested on bunch of other charges. Admitted to doing the robbery but said that the reason my partners wife broke her hand was because she was chasing him. Cop told my partner that he had to be brilliant chose to rob the only house in hicksville that happened to have video survalliance and the owner is a gun nut to boot. Hope the judge doesn't let him plead out to a slap on the wrist charge.

Has their been any indication that geo might come out with a system that would support more than 16 cams? Semms with new more powerful processors etc that it may be possible

Went to show Wed and Thurs came home Fri. Getting Old! Some impressions Liked the look of some smaller PTZs A lot of displays using LCD monitors had really crappy video. Apparently I cannot live without IP cameras. Should have booth numbers displayed even with the guide did not find a vendor I wanted to talk to. Lots of people. Liked the way the International was put on ground floor so if you were a distrubtior or direct importer you could talk to those people. Seemed to be fewer standalone DVRs this year or maybe that was just my impression. Got answers to my questions from two of my vendors that made whole trip worthwhile. (Geo and Keyscan) Got some good freebes and will try and go next year. Commerical airline travel

I would like to hear from anyone who goes to the actual conferences I would but they seem pretty pricey to me by the time I pay for flight hotel etc I hate to spend another 400-500 bucks for info that I hope the vendors provide for free.

I may be able to splice some runs but I would like to boost everything 1 in to 1 out so I don't end up with some extremely long runs

One of our locations wants to free up a server room and I would like to extend the video another 500 feet using some kind of amp. Power supply would stay in orginal server room with the signal only sent to new server location. I have looked all over the web but am having problems locating a 16 in and 16 out amp I will eventually have to send signal from 32 cameras to the new location

look at the Costar stuff we have used some of that and their outdoor 1/3 cameras are very compact also some housing are paintable so you can match the customer's building

I am logged in as admin and all admin functions enabled in the password setup and I still cannot erase the entries. I am assuming that when I backup to CD that the backed up files are just held in a temp folder for burning. So all I really am wanting to erase is the record of which files were saved anyway anyone have any ideas?

I have taken your advice and have been using the backup program and then pasting the files to cd which places the files and the player on the cd What I don't know how to do is remove the files from the log I cannot delete the listing and I can see how someone could paste or attempt to paste the wrong files. I am talking about the listing that you get when you open the backup program right under the icons for backing up or shredding.

I have flight and hotel booked for three days

I am logged in as admin. but it still does not let me remove those entrys I guess I should check all the tabs etc on the password mgr screen
