A lot was just harrassing - dead animals in the yard, trash in the pool, etc. Main concern was that during our absence, our landscaping was treated with a herbicide such as Roundup. Almost lost our mature redwood trees, crepe myrtles, liquid ambers, even our grass. This was in our back yard so whomever must have some "grudge" agains us that we are not aware of. Can't believe that it was just random because it was so deliberate. Some of our plants still may not survive even though we worked very hard after seeking expert advice on how to respond to this type of poisoning. It was very distressing and the police, of course, have nothing to work with for evidence. Too early in the morning, I guess. This should have been a response to question in my previous thread but for some reason I did not do it as a reply, I guess. Need more coffee! anyway, this was a response to the question on how much damage the vandalism caused and should have threaded with the help on purchasing a 6-8 channel home DVR. OK, my coffee kicked in and I moved this back where it should be and deleted the other posting. Sorry about any confusion here.

Would this have the BNC connectors which Scorpion mentioned? Other than that, seems like it might meet our needs. Thank you both for your responses. I cannot PM as I have not posted enough yet on the Forum.

have had some vandalism issues and would like to purchase a minimum of 6 camera stand-alone DVR with capability of easily providing documentation of the video to the police if incident is captured. Price range for DVR approx. $700. Thoughts?

I apologize. typo when I put the model # in....It was the 4005. Took your help and used your site to get one of the 4 channel DVR manuals which saved me. So, no wonder you did not recognize it as it does not exist! As it was used, came in a box without any instructional help. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks much for your help! It looked like the 780 model but the info did not seem to match so we downloaded two manuals and between the two have figured it out. I have the phone number as a backup if we need further assistance. Really appreciate the sharing of the knowledge as we were working in the dark! This forum is great. Lots to learn! Got a used system but no instructions. Have not yet figured out the motion detection piece so that it will only record motion. Does anyone know how to contact KTl for a manual of instructions? KTL4405G160 with 4 cameras Not very high tech so really need some basics. Thanks
