  1. Hi Jim You were lucky with the 8 channel then. I am installing a 16 channel real time card bought from Y3K. I have had similar problem to you but have stabilised the system and it should now run for 6 days fingers crossed. You have to have a methodical approach to this problem and get writing to Y3K listing all the faults found with it too date. You must describe as accurately as you can what area of the system you are in. Y3K have replicated one of my faults. I am going to trying to record the software functioning on Digi Cam Quick Time video I am trying to build up a case to get info back to X-vision, The software house who generated the software suite and the card manufacturer belived to be secuinfo of Korea. I too like you have reduced tasks to minimum. One thing to check if you have the same software as I have is to deselect recording whilst in search mode. Accessed via setup on monitoring Screen. If you know the area where the frames jumps do back as AVI and play via windows media If the frames are missing you have a record problem if not its a play back problem. with the 200fps in low res you will only get 12.5 FPS on low res. less on high res. If cams in motion mode the times shown on the frames of each cam will not be sychncronised and this maybe is what you are seeing.

    Newbie Introduction.

Hi, My interest in CCTV has stemmed from an initial request to upgrade CCTV in friends business premises. Upgrade from Geovision GV600 to X-vision 16 channel high resolution real time card. My background was electrical and electronic engineering. I have a self taught interest in computers but now knowledge base is outdated. Based on this installing this CCTV should be a relatively straight forward process but beware the standard of documentation, compatibility and software issues. Research as best you can before you buy and hope your product package hangs together.
