Before I begin, please forgive my ignorance as this is all very new to me and have gone slightly out of my depth.
I am in the process of setting a up a cctv system using anykeeper 8016 and have built a PC to be used for this. (pentium4 3.0, 512MB, 160gig 256mb 8x agp graphics, win XP Pro). Now, the software works well (well it works) and i can use the anykeeper remote view program to view the feeds from any other computer on the network with anykeeper installed.
The boss here wants to view the cameras in some form from a web page anywhere in the world (nice way to spend your holiday eh?) and i dont have any ideas on how to get started.
We have a 1Mbit cable connection, 256kb upstream. I need to know how to access the web interface from inside and outside the lan. I have used the router to forward port 80 to the pc used for the cameras. I had an idea that typing in 127.0.0.1 on the camera pc may open the web interface but i get a "cannot access this page" message (all personal firewalls were off so they would not interfere.)
I was quite sure that there was a web interface because the anykeeper site lets you demo one on the homepage.
Any help on the subject is greatly appreciated.
