  1. Hi everyone, I just got a job to install 10 camera system on a 2 story house. All the houses I have done in the past have been single story and my question is how hard or easy is it to get runs from 2nd floor to the 1st floor? or do I leave everything high. I am in Florida and the 2 story houses here have solid concrete between 1st ans 2nd floor. I am trying not to run cables on the walls outside of house down to first floor. any ideas please. Thanks
  2. Thanks guys, to answer Ivan.....There is no room in between concrete to run the cables. I was going to use the attic space on the second floor to get the cables to where I need them then leave them high, but I value your comment that the height might create a viewing problem. Sector, Thanks also...I think they would want the cables hidden based on the community, but I foresee a problem trying to go through the walls. Here is the address to the property you can use google maps to see it and chime in with any suggestions. 15437 Southwest 20th Street, Davie, FL Thanks again guys.
  3. What license do I need to get to install cctv. I have a customer that is opening an office and he wanted me to install cameras, but he said the inspector told him that the person installing has to certified with the state?

    Need Help

Hi everyone, I have a camera system setup at home. I am running it on a dedicated computer and monitor. I want to be able to get a video out that I can run up to my attic and be able to see it on any tv in the house. How can I achieve that? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Nuvico Dome

Hi everyone, I am looking for a Nuvico dome camera (outdoor/Day/Night) that has like a 180 degree view. I want to put it high in the center of the front of my house to see my driveway and possible front of garage door. Thanks

    Best Phone to view cameras

Thanks guys, I am just perplexed because I have tried every phone and I can't get it to work. If the phone has IE I think it would work, but I guess it's a little more complicated than that.

    How to Question

They are analog cameras with a basic DVR card. No loop/Loop out. I just need to know what or how to get the signal from the computer to the attic where the cable is split to all the tv's in his house... The easiest and least expensive way.
  16. Hi everyone, I am brand new to the forum. I have been doing some reading and I can see we all have problems (lOl). Well I have a problem, I bought a KVC4400 capture card for a PC i built for my house with 7 cameras. I am able to see them fine at home. I am using a diginet software to view at home. Now my problem is, I have set up everything I think correctly in my router (wrt300n) forward all the appropriate ports, but I cant get in when I type the IP address using another PC not on my network. Can anyone help me. I am using Comcast as my ISP,dynamic IP. If anyone can help and need more info I will be glad to provide. Thank you, Strokey
  17. Thanks for the reply...Now, can you explain a little more how to do this please?
