I want to set up a 3 or 5 megapixel ip camera to take a high quality image every 10 to 20 minutes 24x7 from a remote location. I want a camera to make this assembly bullet proof because I can't walk out the door to fix it. The camera and router assembly will be located 100 miles or more away from me and I will be using a cellular router to access the camera and pull the images back to my server. My server has all the necessary NVR software to do the trick. I have heard conflicting information from blogs, etc. regarding cameras---- Arecont, IQeye, others?. Price is not the biggest issue (always an issue for sure!) but reliability. I have heard that Arecont is not reliable in this type of application. Corrupts images, locks up, etc. I haven't heard much about the Iqeye or other manufactures Any experience/knowledge would be helpful. Thanks so much. And yes--cellular is the only way I can go.
