Can anyone help me with this: I have a Spectra III which is probably 750 feet or more away from my rs485 device. I had to use a active balun to get the video signal, which is working, but I can't get any activity on the PTZ. Do I need some sort of booster for the PTZ wiring? If I do, can a active balun for video transmission work for this or do I need something different? Thanks!

I have 2 active vision active baluns that I can't get to display the video from my everfocus ptz. I can get two active vision passive baluns to display the video (though not as crisp) so I know it's not the video wire, power to the ptz, or anything outside the balun. I am pretty sure it has to do with the grounding of the balun, which I have tried a few ways also. I get the power light to come on, but the video light comes on sporadically, mostly never. What is the proper way to wire an active balun? Thanks

I don't believe there is anything wrong with the cat5, as I get a picture using passive baluns at 1000'. I believe it has something to do with the grounding, will it not pick up the video without proper grounding? Thanks
