  1. Hi, anyone know where i can get the net-i viewing software for the above machine - tried samsung security website but u need to be an approved partner to d/load it, any help appreciated. Thanks Stu
  2. Did a bit of digging about (well actually spoke off the record to one of their tech guys) seems you can use a website called http://dvronline.net its not supported by anyone but it works good, you just need to input the dvr details and it does the rest! As for happy customers, oh yeah they are happy with the systems that you put in and they paid for, then they read something on the internet/speak to a friend/speak to a guy in radio shack - whose system does this and that and the next thing and before you know it they want the Ford Fiesta with the Ferrari add ons!! Been in this industry myself for twenty odd years and never actually had an unhappy customer however i've also never met one who didn't want more!

    Where to put DVR

I put mine in my loft space (attic) it seemed logical as all the camera cables were run into there and i use the remote viewing software to view it, my loft is also pretty accessable as it is semi floored etc maybe not ideal for everyone but it works for me.
  4. the manual says nothing about this as they obviously promote their RAS software as a means of remote viewing.
  5. Now that i have recently got my Eneo DVR up and running with the supplied RAS software and the customer is over the moon (but they're never bloody happy are they?) he has now asked if he can get a basic view on any PC that does not have the RAS software installed, i.e. if he was on holiday, after reading a few posts on here I thought that if you maybe entered the the DVR IP address followed by the port number into a web browser it might work - ala - DVRIP:PORTNUMBER but it didnt!! Any suggestions? Cheers
  6. Its working!! Mostly with the help of a website that i will credit after i have reached my 5 posts, Thanks guys
  7. hi, I recently installed some CCTV systems for a chain of shops that have a contract with my company, they consisted of between 4 and nine cameras on each system connected to Eneo DVR's - the manager of the shops can view the sites using the iRAS software on his PC or laptop, this was setup by an IT guy that my company contracted to do the necessary, this involved installing a netgear router at each site and a bit of jiggery pokery with the IP addresses. Now here's the question - on a few of the installs I watched the IT guy and he had it all up and running in about 5 minutes and that included the install of the router!! I would like to carry this out for myself and cut out the £180.00 per hour IT guy from the equation, I know that the site required a DSL connection with a static IP address (or does it?) but other than that I'm a bit lost as to what to do next re: port forwarding etc. Sorry its a bit long winded but I'd be obliged if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.
  8. Sorry I know this is probably too late to help you but it might help someone in the future. On the front of the unit there is a 'display' button, on some units this may also be the multiscreen button, press and hold this button for a few seconds and the display will return to the camera view. If you press and hold the button again the bars will appear again, this is a bar generator function to assist in the setup of your monitors. Hope that helps.
