I have a few of the old dedicated micros DS2s and someone has set a user password. When I press the menu button to get to the menu I see a prompt that says use the cam keys to enter the password. Dedicated micros said there isn't a default password and I'd have to send it to a repair shop to get the password reset. Does anyone know how to reset the password? Its out of warranty so I wouldn't be afraid of opening it up. One more question on a totally different area. I have tried using a serial cable to connect to the DS2 but nothing ever happens. I have tried pressing esc three times then enter. I've tried every connection speed and still no luck. Do you have to use a special cable? Please let me know and thanks

I couldn't tell you which mainboard I have. Last time I popped the case open was over three weeks ago. I want to say its the same as yours, DVT37, but I'm not 100% sure. I've upgraded to the newest firmware version, 3.x. Do you think they might have changed it in the upgrade? In order to telnet and serial connect don't you have to enable something in the configuration?

That didn't work. Any other thoughts? I have a dedicated sprite 2 16 channel
